Germany has a law against hate...where is ours? Sick of this backward ugly HATE

Germany learned the lesson, at least for a while. We NEVER did.

They leaned after we put millions of German, Italian and Japanese fascists into the ground. We failed to do this after 1865 or 1/6, so they'll keep right on.

Exactly, the south is still fighting the Civil War. The cancers left festering in the south after the Civil War is an embarrassment..... 160 years later and too many of their descendants think exactly like them.

On the world stage the US looks like a bunch of fucking redneck fools.

It is only hate speech when directed at the right-wing. The right-wing fights every instance to control hate speech as conservative free-speech.

I remember the swastika being outlawed in present day Germany. It is illegal there, not here but with our constitution, nearly anything goes.

Classic case of do as I say, not as I do.

So teachers must avoid making white students feel uncomfortable during lessons but black kids can feel uncomfortable at school all day every day and they don’t give a toss about it.

That really says it all: nobody else matters. Very sad, IMO.

Why should they? They are enjoying representation at the highest levels of government including the USSC and possibly the Presidency again. They are allowed to participate in our society without punishment- they're going to keep right on going, because fascism isn't stopped until fascists are put into the ground.

The Confederacy, as a political entity is gone, but the Confederacy is alive and well in spirit in America. America has always been a racist place. Even before Africans were brought to North America in 1619, white Europeans were engaged in brutal battles against native peoples. The native populations were enslaved, felled by disease, killed in battle, and outright murdered. The white Europeans viewed themselves as superior to native peoples and to Africans and their descendants born on this continent.

Some of the generals who were honored with naming "rights" were incompetent, such as Benjamin Bragg. Fort Bragg, now Fort Liberty, was named for such an incompetent. When I looked up the name, I was appalled that a major military installation would be named after a treasonous Confederate general. I was astounded that an incompetent general was chosen. Seriously, an incompetent officer was picked for such an honor????!!! Turns out he was an NC guy.

I didn't know the background story about Ft. Bragg. I grew up an hour away; the name Bragg had no meaning for me or lots of other people. It was just a name like Main Street. Hate causes people to do really stupid things.

Notice they never name them after the total Confederate incompetents, like John B. Floyd, Dick Ewell, and Braxton Bragg.

As James Buchanan's Secretary of War, Floyd shipped guns and rifles to Southern armories so that the Confederate Army had them when the war broke out. When he commanded Fort Donelson in Tennessee, Brig. Gen. Ulysses S. Grant demanded the fort's "immediate and unconditional surrender."

Fearing a treason trial, Floyd passed command to Gen. Simon Bolivar Buckner, hopped on a horse, and fled into the night. Buckner surrendered Donelson to his old West Point friend. Once exchanged, Buckner held other Confederate commands. Floyd did not. Buckner later became Governor of Kentucky.

Buckner's son, Simon Bolivar Buckner, Jr., commanded US troops in the Aleutian campaign in World War II and again in Okinawa, where he was killed in battle.

Bragg was loathed by his men, who rolled a bomb with a burning fuse under his bunk in his tent. This attempt to "frag the general" failed. Bragg was a military incompetent and botched things up at Shiloh, Chickamauga, and Chattanooga. Logically, the US Army named a major base after him, but that name has been changed in the sweeping out of Confederate names. I forget what the base is called now.

Doubtless Bragg will get his undeserved honor back when the Bloated Yam returns to power.

There should never be a military base named for Nathan Bedford Forrest or Henry Wirz. Not only were both Confederate military leaders (making them traitors), they were war criminals. Forrest butchered black Union PoWs. Wirz starved white Union PoWs.

I wish they would secede and take their Sentors and Representatives with them. Imagine what a lovely country we could build without their seditionist activity.

No more blue state $$ would mean 3rd world status mighty fast. Hell, the slave states only have running water and electricity thanks to FDR.

Yeah, but what about those of us who live in Texas? Maybe my part (far west) should then secede from Texas so we could stay in a lovely country.

Same thing they pulled in the 1920s and 1950s. Confederate hagiography. Treason in pursuit of white supremacy. I have a fantasy about using an attack helicopter to destroy the Stone Mountain memorial. 🤔😉😊

Of course the American fascist party, formerly the Republican Party, is pro slavery just as well as they are pro forced birth and pro the death penalty but they are not pro-democracy instead they are pro fascism, hitlerism, putinism. They are traitors to this country.

Because we negotiated with these people way back then. After we slayed their traitorous necks. Then we went easy to make peace. It was stupid. It’s the reason we STILL have that absurd Electoral College. We gave them too much power even after we defeated them. We should have punished them and squashed them THEN. As a country, we have this motto “we don’t negotiate with terrorists.” Really? Then why did we ever negotiate with terrorists in our own country? Look how well that turned out. They’re STILL terrorists. And they’ll always be losers, too. It’s time to finally put them in their place.

Until the federal government intervenes in what is taught in public schools both north and south of the Mason-Dixon line, this problem of alternative facts will continue to exist. Schools in the south refer to the civil war as a war of aggression when they were the ones who opened out-right war fare by firing on Fort Sumpter. All federal funding for public schools in the south should be withdrawn until southern school system start teaching true history.

I propose the US government Department of Education take over all schools in the south, but it isn't just the south.... Idaho for example is an issue too. Because you are right, until the curriculum is brought into the 21st century, that includes proper sex education not abstinence-only education, they will just keep on going with their regressive education and policies.

We didn't hang the traitors after the Civil War, and we didn't make the steps of the Capitol run with traitor blood after 1/6. So, they'll keep right on going until they turn the US into the fascist theocracy they want.

Those fascists will ban books by James Baldwin, ostensibly to "protect the children," but forcibly change school names back to generals who led soldiers in war, who killed United States soldiers. Read the writing on the walls, friends: we are in the midst of a movement to roll America back to the Dred Scott era.

Just what can one do about this? There is nothing which can be done to morons like this. Our country needs to tackle these things head on and not from a “Daughters of the Confederacy” point of view. The facts are out there. Get rid of the lies and the fantasy. “Gone with the Wind” was not a factual story. Neither was the original “Birth of a Nation” showing the KKK as heroes. As long as lies are the truth, there will be no peace.
