The Greatest Generation ran towards murderous Nazi bullets and begat a generation that ran away from a pin prick vaccination. "Hard times make strong men, strong men make good times, good times make weak men, weak men make Hard times."

And who is surprised? Agree 0ne hundred percent. What Republicans are--hypocrites, liars; people who seem to have no moral code.

Nailed it again. The GOP is not a political party any more. It has become a fascist movement that is ok with having people fail to comply with legitimate subpoenas and have thus aligned themselves with the authoritarian and dictator wannabe Trump.

God will not save us. It’s up to the people, we the people, to do what is necessary to make sure the GOP in its current form never gets back the reins of power until they return to support of the Constitution and the rule of law. Vote Blue.

SUNUNU: "[I]t’s not about [Trump] as much as it is having a Republican administration.” That's the GOP in a nutshell. They're willing to support a madman in order to hang onto power for lowering taxes, fighting abortion, preventing "guvmint cummin' fo' our GUNS," and other reasons. Vote BLUE.

Three hollow husks where perhaps a human used to be. Eaten away from the inside out by privilege and greed. Now just wasting the nice oxygen here and moving their mouth parts to permit passage of bile and gas. Sickening.

As soon as I heard what Sununu said I started railing on him in multiple social media platforms. He is a gutless wonder. How much flip flopping can one person do? It’s obvious he has no convictions. That 51% of Americans believe in trump is not born out in any poll.

Barr is not a supporter of democracy. He covered for trump for three years as his AG. Just because he testified before the J6 Committee and said how he supposedly told trump that his claims were BS does not make him a hero. It’s the same false equivalency made for Pence because he followed the Constitution on the sixth of January.

People need to wake up and realize that republicans are only interested in remaining in power or keeping power. They will say or do whatever to that end.

After reading Thom Hartmann’s article on Barr, I don’t understand how he’s not in jail. It seems like he’s led a career that could be described as criminal.

Sununu is just another RED weasel, slipping through the murky water searching for the big fish he thinks follow trump. So intent on his trump target he doesn’t realize the water is getting polluted and starting to boil, he misses Putin sitting in his boat ready to throw his flower net and scoop up all of America.

No one is coming to rescue us.

Organize or join an organization, register voters, push the vote at colleges, knock on doors, mail postcards.

Get involved and most importantly,

Vote Out Every Republican.

They are liars, and hypocrites and cannot ever be trusted.

I'm really glad to know that George Stephanopoulos is a real journalist - one with a real spine. It's scary how people can slide from seeming sanity in total insanity. I wonder what Sununu and Barr want (or expect) from Trump as a result of supporting him?

Well, for two party over country guys, what more can we expect. They know they have no future in the Republican Party if Trump remains in charge without declaring their undying affection and support. They are both also naive enough to think that even if he returns to the White House adults will be in charge and he will govern (HAH!) like a normal Republican. Clearly they either haven't noticed, or don't really care, that if Trump seizes power he is not going to be surrounded by adults, he will stock his administration with ideologically pure toadies and purge everyone else. And do they not realize that Trump already has them pegged as disloyal for their previous comments. He always holds a grudge and he never forgives or forgets. They won't be sent to Gitmo in the first wave, but surely they'll be in the fourth or fifth wave if not before.

Yikes to all of it. What I don't get is that these people know they aren't commanding 51% of anything in reality. The GOP registered voters are 30% (though they can rely on gerrymandering to get them through), the MAGA are a smaller percentage of voters, in special elections in northern states there are letters between GOP party people stating that if everyone was able to vote by mail GOP could not win. They know the people aren't with them, not really. But they're ok with fixing the game and constant reframing in the news, like a bunch of salespeople (I am a salesperson so I know it when I see it). It sounds like Sinunu isn't a very good salesperson for Trump but he's taking a big rationalization dump on his own voters. Yuck.

…Germans have a saying: “if 9 people sit down at the the table with one NAZI without a protest, there’s 10 NAZIS at the table” if country allows a dictator to become a dictator after he said he will be a dictator, then a country deserves a dictator

I have long felt that Republicans are all about big money and power, and certainly Trump/MAGA are all about white nationalism, too, and therefore bigotry toward all things non-white, non-male, non-heterosexual. Focused grievance is merely a tool. They hate what they fear. This is obvious. And those folks are scared. They see their world (real or imagined) slipping away. That’s why once civil Republicans have released and thrown in with the cockroaches of Trump/MAGA. But I am curious… if Blacks, Hispanics, Asians, Women, and LGBTQ folks suddenly starting pooping out diamond-encrusted golden eggs (ouch!), would the Republicans welcome us into their club and forget there was ever any bad blood? Or would they farm all us new found producers of golden eggs in densely packed inhumane coops to enrich themselves, and simply feel ever more superior and owed power by “their” egg factories? I think we all know the answer. Well, we golden egg producers need to VOTE BLUE!

Perhaps we can give a break to Liz Cheney, and Mitt Romney even. But by and large, the GOQP has embraced trumpism in all its ugliness, filth and hate.

Yep. Said it before, but the tombstone will read “Here Lies The Republican Party 1854–2024. Learn from us—we believed our own press.”

The fact these idiots believe Trump has all this power...power he was handed by people like them...makes me think the Russia connection is much more entrenched than we know. Every mob boss has damaging information on their "allies" and "enemies". This, too, will all come out. I have to believe that the special prosecutor has a lot of evidence he's collected on everyone involved, but getting Trump first was more important. Indictments against others will follow.
