As usual he’s projecting but I think you are correct that he’s laying the groundwork for another insurrection attempt.

Chris Rey's avatar

His accusation is absolutely projecting. It is his *confession* that his organization is already reving up AI for use to cause chaos and confusion on Election Day.

Trump is obsessed with crowd size, always has been. It's core to his self-image as an entertainer. His followers have absorbed this message. They don't WANT his opponent to have big crowds! That would be bad and can't possibly be real!

He's claiming Harris' crowd size is fake to generate a faux conspiracy to waste time, because he can't talk about real, important issues, because his policies are broadly unpopular.

Trump is being publicly humiliated and the crowd numbers don’t lie!

I'll take the prosecutor over the felon ANY DAY OF THE WEEK! And that's why I have this "Prosecutor or Criminal 2024" tee 🤣

I got it from here 👇

https://libtees-2.creator-spring.com/listing/porc2

The more time spent talking about who's crowd size is bigger, the less time that's spent talking about policies to improve people's lives, or about Trump's bottomless bad faith!

Susan Stone's avatar

And the less attention we will pay to the impending violence when he loses. And he will lose. He is truly desperate at this point and has no inner resources to deal with that.

David Sea's avatar

Oh, he'll lose. Big time. And when he does, MAGA protesters, in multiple major cities, will make 2020 BLM protests look like a walk in the park.

Nov 6 will live in infamy. Sad.

Susan Stone's avatar

I hope against hope that such uprisings don't happen, and that police and National Guard are ready for such happenings.

Jim Sanders's avatar

The problem may be that many police and National Guard members are infiltrated with MAGAs.

Susan Stone's avatar

That wouldn't surprise me at all, considering how many police departments are known to have MAGA supporters. What I would hope is that any police department called up by a Mayor or Governor would respond appropriately, and ditto for the National Guard if they are called up by President Biden.

Jim Sanders's avatar

There is a simple answer to this. Biden will still be president. He needs to use his position with his OFFICIAL POWERS to sweep in and arrest Trump and anyone involved with his perfidy for insurrection. This could include six members of the Supreme Court and everyone affiliated with Project 2025.

Is GITMO big enough to handle them?

He is injecting lies into every aspect of our elections, politics and public discourse. He is a cancer!

Mark Mansour's avatar

He is cornered and is thus more dangerous than ever, as Dean said. This is existential for him. He either wins or goes to prison.

Miles vel Day's avatar

This is why we have to win by 10+.

Bill Riley's avatar

This is it in a nutshell — we have to put Kamala over the top by AT LEAST 10 points. Our victory has to be indisputable; so much so that any appeals by Trump will be dismissed out of hand, and would-be insurrectionists will think twice before signing up for a gig that will simply end with their going straight to jail. So let’s continue down the joyous path and Make Americans Grin Again!

Joyce's avatar

My biggest fear is election deniers working in electoral positions of power. Ie., Harris wins a state, but they refuse to certify it as her win.

Bill Riley's avatar

Defeating the election deniers should be the DCCC’s top priority. Anyone who lives in a 2020 election denier’s district should do everything possible to defeat that rep! Let’s all work on this!

Susan Stone's avatar

I love the way you have usurped that slogan. Well done!

Brent/Moving Joy Around's avatar

I like to add a little Latin twist and change it to Make Americans Joyful Again or Maja. I would pronounce it Ma Ha…

Regina's avatar

Ha, I’m already grinning at his crybaby antics.

Wendy Kitzman's avatar

He is absolutely building his case for “rigged election” and on and on. J6 was nothing compared to what Trump and his gang of cult followers are planning. We need to take this seriously.

#TrumpCheatsAtEverything - golf, marriage, business, and politics most of all politics.

Joyce's avatar

Business is just as much as politics. How many people have been cheated out of payment for services rendered?

"Trump--like an ISIS recruiter--radicalizes his supporters"

This is true. I hadn't seen the similarities before. Very scary.

T's magats are trying to get their folks into official positions to be able to deny, challenge, or delay ballots in swing states. I agree; T cannot stand the idea of losing, and he and his magats are going to try to stack the deck as much as possible. Also, if he indeed does lose, I hope that the FBI, secret service, and local cops brace themselves for what may become an attempt at an armed coup.

Peter's avatar

At least for now the corporate media, including his propagandists at Fox, are reporting the crowd sizes accurately. They are also reporting on the enthusiasm at the Harris/Walz events. This is what is making Trump crazy. You are right, he is playing a very dangerous game, but if Fox is not fully on board it may be less effective than he thinks. Also, don't forget, Biden is President until January 2025. If Trump incites violence, and he will surely try, Biden is not going to sit on his ass for three hours while the mob runs wild. And the MAGAs know it. And they may not be quite as motivated to go to prison as they were the last time. What I am more afraid of is a lone deranged MAGA with an AR-15 or a 50 caliber sniper rifle who tries to assassinate Harris before the election, or even after she is inaugurated.

Susan Stone's avatar

I share your fear, and hope to God that doesn't happen.

Ann Higgins's avatar

Excellent analysis. Unfortunately.

Jeffrey Hobbs's avatar

This is how the Harris/Walz campaign should respond: "Mr. Trump is making a serious charge when he accuses us of cheating even before the first vote is cast. If he has any evidence of cheating, either in previous elections or in the one upcoming, he should present it in a court of law. Otherwise, keep his mouth shut until and unless he knows something. So we invite Republicans to watch the polls, as they are legally allowed to; and by the way, we will be watching Republicans at the polls, too."

Susan Stone's avatar

Good luck with the keeping his mouth shut until he has something. He will never keep his mouth shut, and will never know anything provable.

The big thing that's different this time is that, assuming VP Harris wins the election, the transfer of power will be from one Democratic president to another. Additionally, Dumpy can only pardon insurrectionists if he wins, or somehow overturns the election results and becomes president. I don't think Dumpy's going to win, and I don't think he'll be able to overturn the results if he loses.

Barbara Morgan's avatar

Yeah I don't see him being able to over turn it no matter what he tries

Susan Stone's avatar

I agree. I am heartened by the fact that people like Marc Elias are all over this stuff, ready to go.

Judith L Hubbard's avatar

Do not be naive! Project 2025 is complete and in the works in electoral mechanisms in swing states I think but perhaps more. I believe Joyce Vance has a SubStack on this topic.

Deb's avatar

Florida started on Project 2025 2 years ago. Desantis is in the pockets of all the Oligarchs,Federalist Society,Heritage Foundation , Hillsdale College and anyone else that gives him money !!

Christy's avatar

I worry that the reported "hacking" of his campaign emails is part and parcel of this same strategy...to claim election interference and cheating, and rigging, etc.

Minnie's avatar

I feel the same way”hack” wasn’t one at all. It’s a diversion to stay relevant. Where’s the proof? They haven’t shown it. It wasn’t reported to any authority, FBI, CIA, DOJ. I want to see the facts.

Joyce's avatar

I’d like to see the scar on his ear. You don’t get shot by an AR weapon and have no scar or wounds.

So sad that GARLAND didn't arrest that creep ASAP He is responsible for all of Trump's BS LIES and I am so angry that the media continues to let him LIE but he is going down and I'm so enjoying his sinking into the hell of his own making...

Lynda Franka's avatar

Don’t hate me for saying this, but… I was disappointed when Biden chose Kamala as his VP. I was hoping he would make her Attorney General. With her background I thought she would immediately go after The Felon. Well he didn’t, and here we are 😂😂. The energy of the universe has a weird way of snaking around things.

Susan Stone's avatar

I'm afraid you've lost me. What creep who is responsible for trump's lies? Please explain who. Thank you.

Karla Jones's avatar

I truly believe that. He possesses all the deadly sins and fits the Bible description to a “T”.

Mike Slattery's avatar

So, if Trump starts this after losing the election, just have Biden arrest him and provide him with a nice cosy cage in Cuba, and justify it as a national security issue.

Joyce M. Shaw's avatar

Everything a president does is legal according to the SCOTUS

Susan Stone's avatar

My understanding is that, unfortunately, that immunity is strictly about and for trump. I've been part of other discussions where that point has been made, and it was my understanding from the beginning.

Please see: Supreme Court Grants Trump, Future Presidents a Blank Check to Break the Law, an ACLU "News & Commentary" article dated 7.3.2024.

I also recall (and correct me if my recollection is faulty) President Biden saying something like the holding in this case even applies to him; however he has the character to not do anything illegal and not need its protection.

I'd also like to point out that Justice Sotomayor's dissent which is quoted in the article. If she thought the holding was so narrow as to just apply to Mr. Trump, she would have used his name instead of writing about "the President of the United States".

Susan Stone's avatar

Jessica, thank you for setting me straight with good information. I appreciate it.

Used2Balwyr's avatar

Don’t know how you got that conclusion.

Susan Stone's avatar

John, see Jessica's answer above. I stand corrected.

Susan Stone's avatar

I think from reading Joyce Vance's Substack and from discussions I've been in there. At this point I don't remember the details.
