I agree, Trump needs to spend the rest of his miserable life in prison. Leavenworth might just do. Or if he wants more sunshine and fresh air, Gitmo has plenty of space. But I think the best we can hope for is house arrest at Mierdalardo without access to golf courses, anti-social media or the omelet bar. I agree, but I just don't see real prison in his future. I'm just not optimistic that any judge, not even Chutkin, has the spine for it. I think even if he is convicted, it's more likely that his appeals drag out so long that he succumbs to an heroic Big Mac or burnt steak at the age of 90.

Oh, as for the complicit Republicans, they will pay a severe political price for their silence. And it's coming sooner that they think. I know what the useless pundits are saying about the 2024 election being close, but I think they underestimate the seething anger among Democrats, women, young people and the rest of the non-MAGA majority. Republicans recognize it (even though they can't cross the MAGAs) and that's why they have redoubled their efforts on voter suppression.

Yes,Trump should spend 30 years, effectively his lifetime, in jail with no access to internet. If we need to build him a private wing for his secret service detail I could help raise money to cover that.
May we suggest Guantanamo? Send all the maga cultists there, with full secret service & FBI "protection" for us & them. No internet access, no co-conspirators, no media pools, no offshore banking. In other times, in other countries, in previous centuries, the penalty for insurrection, rebellion & treason was termination, with no mercy.
