Let s ctake off the gloves and stop playing nice. Trump does not. What Dean advocates should apply here too. To do it asks a lot of judge Merchan, I hope he will do it

Convicted felon Trump has been held accountable. Despite all the vulgar, ugly, baseless attacks on the American system of jurisprudence, the system worked. This is exactly the way American democracy is supposed to work. No one is above the law. Period.

I love this "Guilty on all 34 charges" shirt 👇

Excellent article that clearly spells out the entire situation involving this corrupt, criminal, fascist dictator who has been trying to wreck our democracy for the past 9 years or more. Lock him up immediately and let him try to appeal his case from prison!

First locking him up ( The dream would be in a regular jail not a White collar jail) would get him out of our faces and shut him up, hopefully like all things in this 15 minute world he fade away. He should be sentenced to silence , solitary confinement locked up for years. Than Maga would end up destroying themselves and maybe JUST Maybe the Republicans can go back to being just conservative , fiscally responsible and old fashion, not a cult of extremism. Not wait now that is crazy 😜

I agree 100%, send Trump to jail on July 11. What do we know to be true? That even after his loss in the business fraud civil case, even after the loss by the Trump Org. in the criminal case, even after his conviction on 34 felony counts, he commits business fraud, election fraud, golf fraud, sexual fraud every God Damn Day. He shows no remorse. He will never learn. He will never change. Put him in prison and let him stew in his own orange juices for a year or two. And yes, he needs to go in pending appeal. Why should he be treated any better than Wieselburg, Cohen or Harvey Weinstein?

Amen!!!

Add a fourth. His silence on outright terroristic threats against Merchan, Bragg and most importantly the jurors betrays a contempt for the justice system that cannot be tolerated in a civilized society.

Dean, thank you for giving the legal reasoning behind what I have been thinking for quite a while now. Judge Merchan has been understandably reluctant to jail trump over the gag order violations, but I'm sure he won't forget them. Or the lack of remorse, or the members of congress who have been aiding and abetting trump (I'm sure he is aware of them). I hope that he is able to overcome his reluctance to impose prison time and give trump the sentence he deserves. And jail him immediately.

Really, given his history he should begin serving his sentence while appealing. Otherwise he will continue his antics as he travels around the country, stirring up fear, disinformation and with a wink, condoning violence. A dangerous scenario for all of us.

Yes, agree.

Also, now we find out from ProPublica that TFG has been paying off witnesses in the secret documents case.

How much more criminality is our justice system going to allow ?

Enough already.

Throw the book at him.

And vote out every Republican.

Yes. People have been incarcerated for less. A jury was implanned by his attorneys and the prosecutor. It sends the wrong message if he is not.

Lock him up and throw away the key!

It is interesting here. Yes, he deserves jail, but his building a violent base of Magats has always been about having a hedge should he get convicted. to be able to make a deal ie I'll turn off the Magats and leave the country, if you drop all charges in everything, and I go quiet. No such deal should be considered as he is incapable of honoring one, but don't be surprised if he proposes that through his lawyers fairly soon. Also, Is he about to be thrown under the bus through a brokered convention - Are his Vice President wannabees just sharks circling the chum to see if they can inherit the Maga base? Back to jail---I think he will receive some jail time because of his reprehensible behaviour toward the judge and court. He gambled and will lose like Jan 6.

I would like to see him committed to a mental asylum that's a lockdown facility. He might be able then to get some medication in his system. It would be a show of humanity towards him, and make us look better as a country. The entire world knows he's mentally ill and a malignant narcissist. Hell, maybe medical science will learn from his mess of a life or his medical issues. To quote my next-door neighbor, "He ain't right."

To be honest, I don't think he's going to make it to the election. He looks rather sickly.

Put him in Riker's Island!

No gold toilets there!

But lots of hookers....

TFG should be considered a flight risk. He has the means and foreign contacts to flee the country.

I‘m not really sure he has any friends out there. Putin himself would probably be loathe to welcome him, except of course fir the chance to thwart America! (.. especially now that there are no more invitations to the Copy machine next to the gold toilet!)

Everyone in his orbit is in jail or heading there or should be! Why not him?? He needs to rest his orange butt in the orange suit of my dreams — behind bars! He sh/be in Leavenworth after stealing classified documents and strewing them over his bathroom floor!! 🤦🏾‍♂️

100% - The only way to stop a narcissist's horrific behavior is with a firm barrier like prison.

I agree. There is no pill for malignant narcissism.

Sadly, there are only marginal treatments for all forms of pathological-level narcissism.

I have friend’s that are narcissists whom I keep at arm’s length. I have known them a very long time, and believe as with other behavioral treatment they have learned some compensatory skills for their personality disorders. They know (or have learned) a few conversational skills. Simple, for sure, but they know how conversations flow, and that following a greeting such as “hello,” they know to ask, “how are you,” whether they care or not. They’re fascinating as long as you keep them at arms length. If, however, they are dangerous—RUN!!! They are capable of murder.

Indeed narcissists spend their entire lives trying to figure out how to appear normal via trial & a lot of error. They are shameless so will do almost anything they think they can get away with to acquire the narcissistic supply they compulsively need or crave.

I don't believe the trump will ever see a day in jail. He has made a lifetime of cheating and circumventing the system, the law, racketeering, cooking the books, not paying contractors, and the list goes on. It is unreal that this evil empty suit has a chance of being our president again....

one can only hope!🫤 …. almost more depressing is the complete fealty of his spineless disciples in Congress and other realms of government including the judicial system! it is mindblowing🤯 to what depths people can sink to!!

I have always wondered how a more or less well educated population like that in Germany could sink to the abyss of depravity in the 1930‘s … we are seeing it play out before our eyes, play after play.. each minute drawn out to dreadful lengths as we witness seemingly helpless, as our democracy is literally torn asunder before us!
