"...but Fox News is not subject to FCC oversight." If you can receive it over the public airwaves on to your phone and in your car, then it is. Everyone loses sight of the fact that when the 1996 Telecom Act was drafted signed into law, WiFi did not exist. The hate and propaganda is being - Broadcast - over the public airwaves via telecom "radio broadcast" towers, re-aired and parroted by terrestrial radio stations - over the public airwaves. "Cable" doesn't really exist anymore. It's time to re-write the Telecom Act, make the FCC a functioning part of government instead of a Telecom Lobby Shop.

I agree with rewriting the law but your comment that Fox News is already subject to FCC regulation is not correct. Let's not mislead people. Thanks

Respectfully, 5g signals are broadcast over the public airwaves, through the air and into your phone or car. That comes under FCC jurisdiction. Hartmann agrees.

As long as you and Thom agree that is all that matters :) Legally though Fox News is NOT regulated by FCC- It's not debatable. In fact Biden's FCC nominee Gigi Sohn two weeks ago testified to that very point before the Senate- just want to make sure people are aware of that - but we all want to be! So let's work together to change the law!

But you have to pay a subscription to receive the signal, decode it and view it. So, no, it does not fall under FCC jurisdiction. That's very simple-minded thinking. Lots of things are broadcast through the air, but that doesn't make it something the FCC controls. Your mobile phone calls and (back in the day) cordless phone calls were over the air: do you want the FCC regulating your phone call content?

My concern is that when religious cults become embedded in government agencies, courts, administrations and then are supported by those same political religious cults in the form of a political party, do we have the agency available to get them deprogrammed ?

I don’t exactly see 33+% of this country having a “come to Jesus” moment and resolving ‘The Big Lie’ in their fever swamped brains, not to mention the multitude of those that know it’s a lie and will use it for propaganda, power, and monetary gain. Most , if not all of them, will be taking those lies to their graves.

If this is to be resolved, with a positive outcome, the only way I see that happening is that they will have to put a whole fucking lot of people in jail. And by people, we need to be arresting senators, supremes, congress critters, secretaries, governors, AG’s both state & federal, the seditious scum (stone, bannon, flynn, manifort, . . . ), ministers, . . . Add your traitors here.

Dean, for what it’s worth, thank you for your passionate, articulate, and well reasoned defense of the truths we all need to hear. Having been brought up Roman Catholic, versed in the catechisms, long Latin masses, and having served as an alter boy (unmolested), I must say that that you represent the values of Christianity I was taught better than any of the priests, ministers, and pseudo evangelicals that suck up to tRump and his fascist followers.

ps ~ Marg KJ . . . reThugLieCON-Qers might be a better descriptor of that group of fascists, pedos, liars, misogynists, authoritarians, bullies, con-men & con-women, seditionists, and traitors.
