Yeah, these misogynist kkkristians are a disgrace. Acivist Zealots, Phony Christians, filled with hatred and perjored to their gills, the greedy grifters of Roberts’ lying court are the greatest disgrace of this once democratic nation.

Lady Justice weeps. And so do I.

Women and women's organizations have filed suit against these laws in a number of states on religious liberty grounds, most notably in Florida where a Jewish group is suing. It will be interesting to see how Sam Alito and the other Christo-fascists at SCOTUS deal with a demand for religious liberty from a non-Christian group. My guess is they will twist themselves in knots ruling that Judaism also believes that life begins at conception even though for Jews life begins at birth.

There is absolutely nothing in Judaism to support “life begins at conception,” so they will have a hard time proving this!

I know that and you know that but we also know that this Court will twist anything to fit the ideological outcome they want.

Some things are so far fetched they can’t be twisted. I don’t think they are creative enough to find a connection here.

Or perhaps they will just declare that this is not an issue of religious liberty, after all who do these plaintiffs think they are? "Christian" cake bakers, web designers or evangelical football coaches?

The Bible says life begins with the first breath and not before.

But these fascists are not about the actual faith - they are about controlling people

Exactly. They have no idea what the Bible says.

The GOP is not actually a religious movement - it's a fascist movement that invokes religion to help recruit and animate people.

And then crushing us all with their jackboots.

Thanks for this Dean. It’s been a year since females were deemed second class citizens by SCOTUS, fodder for any state legislature to force into unwanted and even dangerous reproduction. Science, informed consent, compassion for families struggling in poverty and basic human rights have been tossed aside as Republicans legislate their distrust and distain for women who they believe are morally inferior en masse.

Consider that women and girls need to show “evidence” of a rape to qualify for an exception (Florida), that “females of any age” are considered “women” in the eyes of the law (North Carolina), that mental health and suicidal ideation must be ignored when deciding whether the the life of the pregnant person is at stake (South Carolina). These are ACTUAL LAWS Republican religious fascists have passed and signed. Our lives and our doctors’ lives are on the line.

We need to remind people that 30% of births are Caesarian Sections. Republicans are forcing women and girls into major abdominal surgery because they have the audacity to believe they speak for God and will get into heaven as a reward for controlling us.

We demand the right to decide when and with whom to have children. We demand the right to consider our own health and welfare and change our mind if they are threatened by a pregnancy. We demand the right to prioritize our dependents, our jobs, our homes, our personal security and every other factor that impacts our ability to be parents.

We will not be subjugated to non-sentient cell clusters, regardless of the state we call home (or are visiting when we develop a complication). Tomorrow is an anniversary of shame and dishonor that I fervently hope will be met with loud protests on the streets!

A few years back people were concerned about Islamic Sharia law being forced on us. That fear rapidly dissipated and in its place we actually have christo-fascist religion being forced down our throats and into our uteruses. For the first time in my 89 years I am terrified both for and by my country.

Exactly and being Muslim myself I lived through those lies by the right that Muslims wanted to impose Islamic law in the US. It was always projection by right!!

Excellent -- Oh, your (first)name sounds in Arabic as if it means religious. I know of no religious scripture, nor any what we call myth, that prohibits abortion and, if fact, the Old Testament even PRESCRIBES it for certain female transgressions. Still, they are Republicans and therefore do not see the purpose of facts or reason.

Judaism believes the soul does not enter the body until birth. Therefore, the mother’s life takes priority over the fetus.
