I absolutely agree that the MSM is absolutely pushing the Republican talking points and ignoring the crazy that is Trump.

Finally someone is tackling this issue in the appropriate light. DJT and Biden are both old individuals, but only one of them has behaved erratically and deranged (hint: it’s not 46). The “Biden’s age” narrative must be countered with the reality of the mentally unstable old person in DJT, who seems to be in a serious cognitive decline as witnessed in all of his public statements, particularly during interviews. To not do so would be irresponsibly silly.

If age is going to be brought front and center, then DJT’s age and mental decline can’t be ignored.

The corporate media are like sheep- they all follow each other. If we can get one of them to talk Trump being DELUSIONAL others will follow!!

Hi Dean, thanks for bringing this topic up, it seems the MSM is not focused on this aspect of Donald, of his mental regression, his fits of rage, his constant lying. All these symptoms point to a severely mentally challenged individual unfit to be a leader of a party much less a president, a president that bases his entire campaign on revenge on folks who he perceives as his enemies. Time for an intervention by his children or his wife due to the fact no one in his family wants to be around him.

They just want to wash the trumpian stain from their “crisp images” bc they don’t think he can win again. If he does, watch them flock to him along with the rest of the conservatives now saying the truth about him. It’s the 2016 playbook all over again. Remember what Lindsey Graham said about him in 2016? Yup, exactly. DJT family is of the same ilk.

What I don’t understand is how Trump (or anyone for that matter) is allowed to participate in any election after having shown the world that he will only accept the results IF HE WINS. If he tells us he won’t trust the process then why allow him to participate?

I think we need to add an oath to the application to be on any ballot. Within it, a candidate must ‘officially’ accept the results of an election after all accusations of misdeeds or fraud have been adjudicated. If they ever again want to be a candidate for that office or any other they cannot be on the ballot without officially accepting the results of all previous elections. Doesn’t that make sense? Can we do it??

And nobody, nobody is challenging his lies: "We are a nation in decline. We are a failing nation. We are a nation that has the highest inflation in 50 years," etc., etc., ad nauseum. This is the same type of trash talk he gave at one of his State of the Union addresses. He speaks from the darkness of his decayed soul.

I I strongly agree with this and many other views expressed by Dean. Recently I've been viewing info on malignant narcissism, how it appears to be a common trait/category among leaders, especially dictators. Leaders afflicted with MN try very hard to get others to follow their example, often under threat of violence. In my opinion not only is pathological narcissism the motivating force behind autocratic rule, but it motivates captains of industry and the very wealthy to use any methods necessary to gain political control, ignoring the constraints of morality fairness or empathy. (Citizens United was a decision just asking for trouble.)

We all have varying degrees of narcissism, apparently its degree is something that is vulnerable to manipulation, by the truly pathologically narcissistic. Here is some interesting info., if 1933-1945 weren't enough warning, the papers below provide at the very least, implicit warning why today's far right movements and human rights violations here at home and abroad are things that warrant strong resistance. Both articles are available online.

It’s a somehow studied phenomenon that most CEOs and other people at the top of different endeavors display psychopaths traits, and dictators are dialed up to 10 in this regard.

Bc of the way we are, our admiration for “strength, decisiveness, take-no-prisoners mentality” in leaders, people with psychopaths tendencies/traits are the ones chosen to succeed. Empathy, cooperation, nuance, and compromise are seen as weaknesses. It’s no wonder we are where we are and doing how we are doing.

I believe you are correct, Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin are both dialed up to a 10. They are like modern day lepers spreading their contagious sociopathy wherever they can. Both wish to tear apart the institutions of democracy, and self rule, in favor of self serving kleptocratic chaos. The sooner these two very similar malignant narcissists are institutionalized, the better off society will be. Unfortunately, for a great many of their followers, their pathology is seductive. When we are finally rid of their destructive politics, we must build much stronger barriers toward this type of malignancy, in future US & world leaders.

I've been posting and commenting for months saying that Trump should have a complete mental and psychological test. This should be for anyone who wants to run for any type of government office. The Lincoln Project recently posted a bit on Trump's "senility" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vgjS_7eNoOg For Pete's sake he sounds like Porky Pig at times!

Exactly, Dean, but that has ALWAYS been Trump. [Just ask Howard Stern who shudders at what Trump's early childhood was like -- no, not a punchline for peace, a maudlin reality.]

Saw you last night and you belong there -- gives the entire channel a boost.

If he cries about attacks on his !st Ammendment rights, they ignore Hunter Biden's 2nd Ammendent rights! Oh yes, every member of all political families should be well-armed! Give the Communists the means to defend themselves against the Fascists! IT'S THE WOKE THING TO DO! -- Hones Charlie -- Absurd Times.

It has been crystal clear that trump is a dangerous psychotic and delusional criminal of the highest order. That we allow him on the streets is utterly irresponsible and unforgivable!

Dean, I shared this story on MASTODON and anywhere else I have contacts. I cannot watch the Fascist liar so hearing about these latest incidents is good to know. Thank you for your valuable reports.

Since Biden won by 8mil votes last time and RescumliCons have continued to remove women’s rights, encouraged more racist attacks, bash LGBTQI+, ban books, attempt christian sharia-style law...I don’t buy in to the close-call crap. The right wingers own the airwaves, the large majority of American public would not make this a close call!

Nevertheless, the justice department should remove this multi-criminal from the streets of our country. For our protection!

The media has constructed a narrative that perfectly fits their preferred scenario - access to Republicans and an evenly matched horse race. This means that they endlessly harp on Biden's age even though he is clearly 100% mentally and more physically fit than most 80 year old men. At the same time they long ago decided that Trump was only semi-literate but endearingly charismatic, so all of his mental, physical and verbal breakdowns are indicative of nothing. He's 77. He can't walk 100 feet without getting winded. He can't string together a literate sentence above the 3rd grade level. And, as we have seen, is prone to gaffes and brain farts with increasing frequency. But to point that out with the same vigor they carp on Biden would not only get them cut off from access to all Republicans, but would likely get them death threats from the MAGA horde. And that is far more than anyone in the elite Beltway media can handle. It also would get them relegated to page B19 below the fold rather than the Front Page above the fold.

Final note, they ignored Reagan's obvious Alzheimer's as well. Couldn't possibly criticize St. Ronnie. And see where it got us.

Corporate media will take Trump anyway they can get him. They don't offer a lot of context or analysis around what he says, including that it appears from my reading that he is not well. I can't watch him because I don't need that BS in my life.
