She asked him about debating Harris and he went off on a rant calling Harris a Marxist and crazy, then Ingraham said, “So why not debate her?” That brought Don up short. Yeah, Donnie, if she’s crazy and not very bright, debating her shouldn’t be a problem, especially for a self-proclaimed stable genius. Convicted felon Donnie has declined so badly even the FOX propagandists can’t save him. They bring him on, throw him meatballs belt high down the middle, and still convicted felon Donnie whiffs. He and his cultists are made for each other.

Spot on. And to that point I always think about a story that was once recounted to me. A female friend wrote an unflattering article about Donald for a major magazine. She was seated at a gala when she felt something cold running down the exposed skin of her backless dress. She turned and saw Donald scurrying away after pouring a drink down her back, clearly scared of a confrontation. I think about this often.
Trump has never won a debate including when he was a hulking presence in his debates with Clinton. The horrendous performance by Biden was not a Trump debate victory. Although it spelled the end of Biden’s political career it had nothing to do with a “debate” victory by Trump. In fact there was no debate. Trump evaded every question and lied continually, never being called to task by the pathetic moderators.
…and at the infamous and so poorly managed debate that the moderator rule of the mic turned off when it wasn’t their turn to speak, Trump was YELLING to Biden during the entire time Biden was speaking. Biden was trying to make sense of what Trump was yelling while at the same time delivering his response to the moderator’s question. I’ve always wondered if history would’ve treated the debate differently if somebody (anybody?) could have made Trump behave like an adult and follow the rules
Democracy--in fact, civilization--is sustained by numerous little acts of courage, trust, humility, humanity, and generosity. Trump has no idea what any of those things are.
I love that Harris is fearless. We need to see a lot more of that in our politicians. With regard to trump not going down to the Capitol, as I recall the Secret Service wouldn't let him, even though he tried to get them to take him. That doesn't make him any less cowardly. Even if he does do the debate, he's still never going to answer any questions directly. He's too cowardly.
And you know what that coward hates more than any insult or call-out on his many crimes? Being laughed at ! Thus the success of the “weirdness” theme. I would stay away from directing that at his grassroots followers, even though some deserve it. But DO keep laughing at him and his advisers; it sends the message that they are so off-the-mark and so ridiculous that they are not worth the time or energy it takes to respond.
He is a coward. President Biden has gone to two countries that were at war, both Ukraine and Israel. Tfg never went to visit troops, even if they were in a friendly country at peace.

I just wanted to point one thing out - I believe that the Congressional January 6 Committee showed pretty conclusively that Trump actually DID want to go to the Capitol on January 6th. Cassidy Hutchinson even said that she was told that Trump lunged at the steering wheel when he was told that his car was going back to the White House instead of the Capitol after his rally speech, and still wanted to go to the Capitol after he was back at the White House. So I would just suggest not including that example in your list of examples. But otherwise, as I said, a great post!
