Always good to see an artist like Taylor Swift stand up for equality, diversity, compassion, and acceptance. Plus, she's encouraging her fans to do the same. I think it's time to lower the voting
And we can count on many of the concert goes sharing their thoughts about equality and inclusion with their moms and dads. Kids can be pretty persuasive.
My daughter reminded me this afternoon that Taylor Swift fans shut down Ticketmaster's website because so many people were trying to get tickets. One of her friends got tickets for her & her 10 year old daughter. Another friend pay $1100.00, yes eleven hundred dollars after all the fees. But she is married with no children and could afford it. And is a huge SWIFTIE fan. So yes there are SWIFTIES of all ages!!!!!
Taylor Swift is obviously too big to boycott, and frankly I think she couldn't care less if the MAGAs stay home. The problem is that far too many corporations are afraid to take a stand. I'm sure Disney isn't worried that if the MAGAs stay home they won't fill their parks. Maybe Target should tell the MAGAs to take their business elsewhere if they don't like the Pride display. And then Walmart has a choice, take in the MAGAs or send them to Dollar General. You get my point. Boycotts have power if they change behavior. But if the company being boycotted says "Well, I guess you gotta do you. Have a nice day." they may do better in both the short and the long term.
Great article. Thanks for publishing it. My 2 daughters who are in their early 40's are Taylor fans & tried desperately to get tickets to her recent concert. I have followed Taylor Swift for a long time since we are both from PA & Taylor is very political. Just ask Tenn Sen Marsha Blackburn.
Maybe time to start letting companies like Target know you as a consumer wonāt tolerate them catering to right wing politics by closing the account with them and no longer giving them your money. Corporations donāt have morals, they have shareholders, if enough people stop giving them money they will change their behavior accordingly
Dean: Just a quick note: I notice that my Absurd times had about 100 times when I simply reposted your article about her. Rather show where the real vital instersts lie in this country.
