Dean, thank you very much for sharing the link to SNL. We watched it and laughed hard. They did a great job except (IMO) for one thing. The trump character needed to learn to pout better. His mouth and his speech were too strong. That skit was a great opening for the 50th season, and I'm glad to know that a lot of non-political people would have been watching. I also notice that Kamala Harris got more time than trump - Yay!!!
I actually watched the cold open last night and thought that was Mikey day playing Biden. So nice to see Dana carvey again! And gosh why didn’t I recognize that was Jim gaffigan. I sure hope returns to play walz I love it!
Looking forward to this excellent cast for the political commentary this election season. Gaffigan and Carvey are the perfect choice to play along with Maya.
One of my favorite sight gags was tfg walking off after introducing "Vance", and a couple stagehands removed the plexiglass shield. Too funny!!!

The only thing I’d change is they need to start putting the mike right up against “Trump”’s nose, just like they do with the real Trump.

It’s hard to write comedy about Trump because everything he says in reality already sounds like the comedy act of an old crazy guy.
