Considering everything African Americans have done for this country and we are still treated like the enemy. This is heartbreaking. I grew up in the 70s and little did we know that the light we were seeing at the end of the tunnel was a train.
I really appreciate you strong voice on so many issues that are really crucial to our Democracy. I’m Swedish looking. My next door neighbor is Black male and a really good friend. We walk our dogs together in the morning. He once asked me if I was concerned that he might get shot while we are walking. Walking or out doing your morning run as a Black can get you murdered.
Dean, I am extremely angry right now; but I thank GOD there are fine white folks like YOU and Michalle Signorile out there to continually remind me that evil is NOT color-based, anyone can be an evil DEVIL
It's now just unsafe to leave your home in the crazy red states like the Laissez-faire stand your ground psycho state of Florida, which is about to become even crazier on 7/1/23 when all the sociopaths can legal carry any & everywhere. So now we all need to wear guns to protect ourselves from all the nuts that will be armed?
When I was younger you could see this racism on full display when the Black Panthers became armed and showed it. Cue Reagan, Mulford and white folks supporting gun control but ONLY for POC. The NRA basically wants guns in white folks hands and are preying on those fears that whites are going to lose arms to POC. As well as everything else. This racism has a direct line back to slavers
