I have nothing else to add.

Thank you, Dean.

So very sad for the losses. People are people. We all bleed. We must do better!

For the record, I would like to repeat my first sentence: “Thank you, Dean, as always for your humanity”.

The constant demonization by Fox News and GOP of Muslims has incited a TERRORIST attack against Muslims in US. Don't expect to hear Fox News or GOP denounce this:A 71-year-old Illinois man slaughtered a 6-year-old boy and seriously wounded a 32-year-old woman because they were Muslims as response to the war between Israel and Hamas. https://apnews.com/article/muslim-boy-killed-chicago-landlord-will-county-5135dea218326d6e639a996564d9369e

Thanks Dean, I listened to almost all your shows this week, but especially Monday’s show. The theme of not losing our humanity is a basic axiom. Thank you.

Dean, you can count me as one of your Jewish friends and I’m proud to count you as one of my Muslim friends.

Thanks- same here!!

Thank you. I am very hurt that my attempt to point out that at least some of the so-called civilians were likely Hamas was treated as not condemning the deaths of children when I never said anything close to that. I also am saddened by the deaths of all innocent Gazans, whatever their age. I have deleted my previous comments since they have been misinterpreted.

Thank you Sandy. It's an emotional time for all of us so maybe I read something into your comment that you didn't intend. Sorry if that was the case. Wishing you all the best!

Thank you. Same to you. 💔❤️💔

I also might have misunderstood your comment which has been deleted. The horrible slaughter of children on both sides is so sickening to me that I can’t really think clearly right now, and I’m not even Jewish or Palestinian. I don’t think it matters where we come from; we are witnessing the mass slaughter of innocent civilians and it’s horrifying.

Thank you. I was merely trying to point out that we didn’t know how many (among the approximately 2600 dead civilians - although I didn’t mention this number) might be Hamas and that it would be good to know that. I never once mentioned children nor dismissed their deaths as unimportant.

I know because these evil people hide among civilians, because in reality they don’t give a damn about the Palestinians.

Exactly.

Unfortunately, we are all victims of every crime against humanity!

Income inequality is at the epicenter of its existence and the oligarchs behind every death, regardless of cause. Gandhi once said "There is enough for everyones needs, yet not enough for everyones greed."

Tax all billionaires into debtor's prison and let them eat of their own poison pill. We've had enough!

Thank you Dean for your humanity. I pray all the violence ends and that no more innocent lives are lost.

Wow, lovely. I did not watch SNL yesterday but that is really good to know. Thank you. Also today, at the Presbyterian service I went to, it was Children’s Sabbath and the entire ceremony was devoted to children everywhere. As quoted earlier today

I believe the children are the future. Let them lead the way. ❤️

As Tracy said, I have nothing to add other than my relief at seeing Israeli newspapers blasting Netanyahu for his criminality and explaining how his far right associates have been instigating such an attack for a while now. This doesn’t condone the attack in any way. Knowing that Hamas is brutal and has called for the elimination of all Jews, they should’ve expected that something like this would happen eventually. I’ve also heard some Israeli government officials say it’s the fault of the Palestinians for not overthrowing Hamas. Really? People living with the bare necessities in a situation that resembles an open-air prison have the will and resources to overthrow a terrorist organization that has taken over their land?

I’ve read that the average yearly income in Gaza is $1200. I’m on Social Security and make more than that in a month. It’s barely a subsistence level. I can’t imagine being a parent under those conditions.

Neither can I. I don’t know how anyone gets from day today like that. The other thing is that no one can survive without water after a few days, or less time, depending on your physical condition; so having all water cut off will kill people before the bombs get to them.

I pray for all of those in the region that were just trying to live ordinary lives when the terrorists attacked.

And now Hamas is preventing civilians from trying to leave the region by putting up blockades near the only few exits. These terrorists don’t give a damn about the Palestinians. If they wanted to help the Palestinians, they wouldn’t have executed a brutal attack on Israel that was so beyond the pale that it would elicit a forceful response resulting in many more deaths.

Yes, I agree, it’s horrifying that an organization exists with the sole purpose of killing an entire ethnic group of people. They don’t care if anyone gets in their way, either, they just kill them too.

An Astounding Touché!

Nothing like correlating 9/11 to a military attack simply because they're all brown..

Hamas killing Israeli citizens was horrific. And Israel’s apartheid against Palestinians is cruel, dehumanizing and a crime against humanity. Both these statements can be true. I urge you (everyone) to follow or even join Jewish Voice for Peace. For years, JVP have tried to bring the plight of the Palestinians to “mainstream” media. They are modern day heroes.

Very moving and horrifying what has happened and what about to happen in return. I don’t blame them for retaliation, but it’s going to create a lot of terrorists in the process...
