Orange Trumpolini is highly qualified for the de@th penalty. He should have gotten it 3 years ago. Instead we’ll likely have to settle for prison. He is an existential threat and everyone is sick & tired of long delayed justice for the most horrendous crimes committed against this country, from within.
I am becoming fearful that fascism is closer than we can imagine. I am well informed from the sources I follow. I cannot understand why those involved still have any power. I agree that Trump should be a convicted felon. Are there no more Republicans that support our democracy?
Our system demands that we assume that every defendant is innocent until proven guilty. But with Trump the guilt is obvious and none of the judges seem inclined to treat him as a criminal defendant. He should have been locked up on January 21, 2021, but Biden..and the useless Garland, didn't want to seem like political actors. And the result is that we have an obvious criminal who, if he seizes power, will jail every opponent, as a relevant and "viable" candidate.
Thank you Dean, you have pointed out the illogical path our country is headed down. But please, emphasise the world’s reaction to allowing a coup leader to run for office. The world knows TFG is the head of a criminal enterprise.. they should express their utter disdain for the GQP and their leader.
It at least gives the appearance of our justice system being, weak, incompetent or fearful of the defendant and his radical fans. By now fairness has little to do with it. The world watches with a crooked smile.

What I can’t understand is how so many people are still supporting him after all of this. Yes, I know they’ve been fed a steady diet of echo chamber misinformation but how are Independents and some Biden voters supporting him? In a sane world, after witnessing the horrid events of 1/6 and hearing the recording of the infamous phone call on 1/2, voters wouldn’t want to touch him with a ten-foot pole.
I'll be honest. The fear that Trump will once again be president of the U.S. scares the h3ll out of me. Even more so than April 2020 when the pandemic tightened it's grip around the world. Because Trump's reign of terror will last for at least four more years. Possibly more if the orange toupee of death doesn't want to leave again. We can't even let him get his foot in the door. He has to be stopped before the general election in 2024. He cannot be the nominee of the GOP in the primaries!
The many reasons that both you and I know why he's unfit to hold any public office. But the main reason is that the 14th amendment, section 3 bars him from holding any public office. If that is ignored, and he does become president again, then my faith in the USA being a fair and just nation is shattered.
Are you interested in viewing any of the J6 video footage that was not shown to us during Cheney’s committee hearings? There is a whole lot of information there the govt has been hiding from us. Personally I am tired of being fed lies and half truths from everyone but esp the govt and govt entities.
Sure look forward to seeing more of MAGA terrorism. But I look forward to footage of Trump in his prison cell where he must spend the final days of his life.
I would not, thank you. Call me sensitive, but I look away from any footage of the J6 insurrection. It makes my blood boil to see Americans acting like savages. I'm sure that the US government isn't showing their full hand about many things. Call me naive, but I would like to think they are working quietly behind the scenes to insure Trump never gets into any government office ever again.
I understand that you feel that way from the selected footage that the govt allowed you to see. It did look bad. But I hoped that you would be open minded enough to see that maybe just maybe they told you a story and cherry picked videos to back it up. The rest of the footage tells a different story. I watched it in real time that day as I was sitting in a hospital receiving a life saving infusion. Nothing was cherry picked then.
