This 14th amendment clause should be enforced before a candidate even makes a bid to run for office. It will stop him from even being in polls, collecting support money, sponging off PAC funds, distracting other candidates and voters who should be spending their time on important issues to be faced in office and not on issues of a thug and criminal and his cronies.
I hope the CREW lawsuit and others will add evidence on the “aid & comfort” portion of section III. Trump held fundraisers & openly supports the J6 insurrectionists during interviews & rallies. Trump is a menace to the globe & any legal moves to stop him from attaining power again must be attempted.
Fingers crossed that Trump will not be allowed on ballots in enough states that it makes a big difference in his ability to win. Republican States absolutely won't agree to keep if off the ballot.
Third party candidates will win Republican votes in States that don't have Trump listed, and others will write him in.
Keep educating the public with the truth about GOP backed 3rd party candidates and Trump's violations against our Democracy and our National Security.
2nd thought: I'm a registered Democrat. Would it be kosher to switch to Republican just so I can vote for anyone else other than Trump in the primaries?

Why are we dragging our feet about this? Call ur Congressmen, and Secretary’s of State. Whoever is in charge of the write in per state! Let’s get it done!
I listened to a podcast that stated that the 14th will not apply to the office of a president as they take a different oath.
Please don’t tell me that this an out for the current criminal candidate and future criminal candidates. Also, May we apply this amendment to our coup supporting House and Senate members who voted in opposition to the electoral count as they supported the coup despite the 66 court rulings that said it was a fair and legal election?

It's not that he called for his supporters to protest, even going to the Capitol to do so. It is his failure to call out the National Guard to reestablish peace at the Capitol that, imho, disqualifies him. Especially since we know many of his WH staff and his family were urging him to do so. That violence was meant to disrupt the business og the government. That violence is therefore insurrection. He aided, abetted and gave comfort to insurrectionists.
trump shouldn't have been allowed to put his name on the Ballot, the US should have banned him right after Jan 6. Why on earth didn't they do it? And Why are they so slow now? It isn't as if they don't know what will happen if they don't. They know trump is a threat , not just the US but to the world. The sooner it's done the better, if he wins the presidency which looks highly likely they can't do anything about him.
I don't know why they haven't banned him already, just what are they waiting for? It doesn't make sense.
I read it has to go through the extreme court and they're republican, so if they say No, God Help America, they've only themselves to blame. Can't Biden intervene? To hell what 'They' think, it's better surely to be safe than sorry.

Nobody is REMOVING Trump. They're considering NOT ADDING him to the ballot. It's not the same.
When Sec'ys of State choose who to include on the ballot, they're free to disregard those who offer aid and comfort to the enemy.
