I’m hoping that the CO Supreme Court sees this failure and corrects it in the appeal. This judge could simply be fearful of retribution, or she may feel more comfortable bumping this up to a panel of judges. In any case, the reasoning she used is questionable.

IMHO, there are at least Two paths judges could take regarding the argument of keeping Trump off the ballot for 2024 in light of Amendment 14 Section 3:
1. Rule for the Defendant, Trump, and let the complaintants appeal up through and including SCOTUS.
2. Declare Trump ineligible for candidacy and let the defendant, Trump, appeal to SCOTUS.
Method #1 is safer, with less potential for Trump/MAGA inspired retribution, including violence.
Method #2, OTOH, is bound to set off the hounds, with Hell to pay, for persecuting the Leading GOP Candidate, (by a LOT,) in this brazen, election-interfering Witch Hunt.
If YOU were the judge, which path would You direct the case, knowing SCOTUS is gonna get the final say no matter How the various States chose to rule? Method #1 or #2?
Is it "wrong," or merely expedient? SCOTUS may not care How they've been approached with the case. I wanna get it in front of SCOTUS in the least destructive manner I can control.
