I just sent it to the Secretary of State in Pennsylvania. I dearly want to see a ballot without Trump on it next November. Thank you.

Done! As a former Democratic town chairman, I sent the email (personalized, as I know him) to MA SoS, Bill Galvin. He is extremely conservative for a Dem, and has had to be dragged kicking and screaming into vote by mail, etc. But we did it, maybe he will listen. Thanks!

Wanted to share that Rep Adam Schiff on MSNBC today stated that in his view Trump is disqualified from the ballot by the 14th Amendment https://www.mediaite.com/tv/fits-donald-trump-to-a-t-adam-schiff-tells-jen-psaki-that-14th-amendment-disqualifies-trump-from-holding-office/

The Secretary of state of New Hampshire--who is a Republican--is asking the Attorney General of the state for an opinion on whether Trump is barred by Section 3 of the 14th Amendment for engaging in an insurrection. https://www.wmur.com/article/constitution-disqualify-trump-president-nh/44920598

Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson of Michigan is on MSNBC discussing the possibility of leaving tRump off of the ballot. She acknowledges that now is the time to “take this on” so it has time to work its way through the courts. She is trying to coordinate with other state’s SOS’s. 😁😁😁😁

Should we also identify US Senators and Congress members linked to January 6 efforts as well?

If Trump is disqualified, an even more horrifying version of him could take the WH. As a Floridian, I’m terrified the fascist in waiting will be DeSantis. He is a younger version of the Orange Sociopath, and he is equally authoritarian & destructive. I am living the dystopia he’s created here in FL. I do believe if Trump is the nominee, Biden will win again. So as horrible as this sounds, and as much as I agree that he absolutely should be disqualified, I hope this orange menace to society is the nominee.

I wrote to the SOS in Washington State and already received this reply: "Washington state law and the state constitution do not give the Secretary of State authority to decide who appears on the ballot for presidential elections. For presidential primaries, state law RCW 29A.56.031 says that no changes can be made to the candidates submitted by each political party. The Secretary of State’s role is to administer the election. There is a court process in RCW 29A.68 for challenging placement on a ballot or eligibility for office." So it looks like it would be up to someone in Washington State, or one of the other candidates on the ballot to challenge the placement on the ballot, or the RNC itself to not put forward someone who is ineligible in the first place. Maybe we should be writing to the RNC!

Is there any central association of people interested in this issue that is keeping track of the laws in the various states and coordinating the activities? I think something like this is needed. It's good if people are writing emails and letters (California SOS doesn have an email address, so a letter to them would be required), but if the laws in most of the states are similar to the laws in Washington State, it's perhaps a wasted effort, apart from gathering info about what is required in each state.
