The backlash for the Clinton impeachment was like one of those large firecrackers you have to cross a state line to purchase. The Republican party hasn't legitimately won a presidential election since 1988, everything since has involved Roger Stone and/or Jerome Corsi. That these two men are politically influential speaks to what a rotten husk of it's former self the Soviet Union destroying GOP has become. Twenty six years ago that midterm was a large firecracker, but in 2024 I think the Republican party is about to reprise the famous video of that dead whale that was blown up on an Oregon beach. Take cover, there will be chunks of blubber flying every which way.

Google my name, sir.

Andrew Breitbart died in the middle of a fight with me, known FBI informant and Breitbart Texas head Brandon Darby swung at me and missed, and the results you see now are from another paid informant working with the Dallas FBI field office. I have a precedent setting 1st Amendment case in Texas thanks to that guy, the case law was actually cited by Michael Avenatti in Clifford v. Trump, and since they're really clumsy I know the agent running the stuff against me was also the guy behind the Gretchen Whitmer kidnapping sting. Sounds kinda mental, except there are a pile of court documents, articles in Buzzfeed, and other ways to verify it.

If you check my substack you'll see a post last month that indicates there's probable cause for another counter-intel investigation into Roger Stone's numerous ties with things that look like Russian intel. I've been shopping that for five years, it's too esoteric for even the IT security folks, and I despair that this potentially important episode will get round filed by the same sort of DOJ staff that slow walked the Trump investigation until the appointment of Jack Smith.

While most of the corporate media has been pretty open and honest about McCarthy and the lack of evidence, they are still treating this farce as a serious dispute between serious people. It's not. As you clearly show, it is a blatant act of revenge being plotted and guided by the twice impeached, facing 91 felony counts, rapist Orange Idol of Mierdalardo. This needs to be mentioned every time any reporting is done on the topic. Every single time.

I agree - we need to call out the media if they both sides this!

They already are. If not overtly, then every time they treat this bullshit as the product of a serious inquiry run by serious people.

If I didn't know any better, I'd believe that electing Trump was not in the GOP's best interest.

Future historians will look back on this moment and say aloud, "thank goodness the 21st century fascist movement was just SO DUMB."

If he wasn’t such a spineless dimwit, I might feel a bit of pity of Kevin McCarthy. He lied, licked all the boots & mortgaged his soul just to get that Speaker’s gavel only to be Trump & the Freedom caucus’s mouthpiece. As you wrote, Dean, impeachment only helped the Democrats when they tried it on Bill Clinton. This action, their first after a 6 week recess with only a handful of legislative days to finance the government demonstrates their inability to govern with any regard for the American people. Bring on the hearings! The Democrats will destroy them and yet another Trump plan will go belly up like Trump Steaks & casinos.

Speaking of Impeachment, Bill Clinton's two stupidest lies were to his attorney, the (recently) late Bob Bennett (see obit) and Hillary, in that order.

Bill Clinton never lied about crimes. Stop pretending otherwise. You can lie about the humidity all day, not perjury because "immaterial". If you don't understand why materiality matters, ask a lawyer to explain it to you.

He was impeached because he perjured himself, which never would have happened had he just leveled with his lawyer.

It was still a ridiculous Impeachment, as the American people showed Congress in the 1998 midterm elections.

It's his normal. He admits his wrongdoings and dares someone to do something. This isn't abnormal for him. He has threatened his flying monkeys in writing and on video. Let it be used against him/them.
