Trump is certainly guilty of these indictments. I worry about finding a jury in Florida that will convict him. He will do everything he can to intimidate the jurors.
It needs to be made clear this is an ESPIONAGE case - just like you put in bold. I know I've been expecting a documents case, he stole some papers...
On Ron Filipkowski twitter I heard two "spokesman" for Trump say "this is not an espionage case". I think that is the talking point that has been sent out for everyone to parrot.
It's espionage - it puts our nation at risk. It was frightening reading through the indictment.
Two things keep me up at night. The first is the idea that he could be re-elected. What has gone so horribly wrong with our society that a man like this could be the choice of millions of people to be President of the United States. (My abject horror and the depth of my despair not withstanding, if he does indeed get re-elected). The other thing is what I keep hearing with regards to the scheduling of his trial. On the one hand it is repeatedly stated that that “no one is above the law”. But then it is stated that should he be either pre or mid trial, and re-elected, this would all go away because a sitting president can’t be tried. This would squarely place him above the law. (Could he really commit murder while President and not be charged?!?) What about if he is convicted before the election, but is on the ballot and wins; then what??
I’m looking at this as hitting him with the severest charges and then letting him plea deal down to something acceptable. Having lived through the outrage of the Nixon pardon, I’m just thrilled I lived long enough to see him indicted. As much as I want to believe all the logical stuff, I’m thinking there is a wild card monkey wrench - the judge it’s been assigned to Aileen Cannon.
How on God's earth is she even still a judge, much less to get this case? This does not bode well as we've all seen she has more bias than our SCOTUS does.
I can’t believe it either, but it is what it is. At this point all she has to do is keep granting continuances and delays and we’ll be lucky if this ever goes to trial. Best wishes!
I keep asking, how are Judges assigned to a case? Is it a random computer lottery draw entered into court records, a random paper number draw by a person, entered by hand by a clerk, did Cannon ask to be assigned? Was she automatically assigned due to her previous assignment on the search warrant case? In that case, why wasn’t she removed from consideration when the Appeals Court reversed her findings and removed her from further proceedings?
This was no random act. Florida messed with the system to place her as the judge just like they mess with elections. 15 judges to choose from, and this happens? No coincidence.

30 plus counts? It would take Olympic style gymnastics to get out of all of them.

Exactly - we must ALL call it what it is: ESPIONAGE!!

With 15 judges, I don’t believe it was the luck of the draw. She was purposely placed on this case.

By what method and by whom was she chosen?
here u go -this explains in federal courts how judges are assigned https://www.iand.uscourts.gov/content/how-are-federal-judges-assigned-cases

Remember, this happened in Florida.
Could be!
Donald Trump will never admit guilt. He won’t even admit he lost the election!
Smith won’t agree to a plea bargain, anyway.
