Note the prominent role women have had in Trump's actual accountability:

1. Stormy Daniels case actually made Trump pay out cash and found him guilty

2. E. Jean Carroll's judgment forced Trump to pay out $5 million, and I think there's a good chance it happens again (I hope it happens 10 more times)

3. Fani WIllis and Judge Chutkin are currently holding Trump's feet to the fire, standing firm where others are dithering

A+, could not have happened better.

And nothing would have come from the Garland's DoJ and Wray's FBI had Cassidy Hutchinson and Liz Cheney put country over party.

True. The courage of the women involved has been inspiring. Let's not forget the world-shaking testimonies of Ruby Freeman and Shaye Moss relatively early on.

Halfway through. This is the MOBY DICK of indictments. WI, MI, PA, AZ, NV, and NM need to cut and paste the brilliant work of Fani Willis.

I am half Italian and sadly, I witnessed the aggrandisement of the Mafia in American culture via films such as The Godfather and Good Fellas, so now it is very satisfying to see the #TraitorTrump Crime Family hoisted on their own petard. The reason #TraitorTrump became POTUS, IMHO, was because of the bizarre admiration many stupid people have for crooks, liars and thieves glorified in aforementioned movies and in the mainstream media. Nice to see the wheels of justice turning, brava to Fani Willis and her team. We need to rid this country of fascists and we must hold them and their minions fully accountable.

We were warned. And we, or at least enough of us, ignored it...

Wasn't Michael telling Fredo not to insult his intelligence?

Regardless, as I watched the scene unfold last night I wondered, will the media spell finally be broken and they stop elevating the false accusations against Hunter to the level of the real crimes of Trump and his indicted, and unindicted, co-conspirators? Is this finally the tipping point at which supposedly responsible journalists stop allowing Republican apologists to dance around the dual issue of election denial and Trump criminality? Or are we doomed to more of the same from MAGA Haberman, Peter Baker and all the rest?

"Wasn't Michael telling Fredo not to insult his intelligence?" No, why would I ever write something factually wrong?

My apologies. There are so many scores that got settled I lose track sometimes. Michael told Fredo that he could never be in the house when Michael was there, give days notice when he wanted to visit their mother, etc. and then had him whacked when Mama died, right?

But I do always remember to "leave the gun, take the cannoli"
