I’m still going bonkers about the lack of discussion and planning for

how to combat targeted digital disinformation and misinformation that’s been impacting U.S. elections since 2016.

This investigated report by Channel 4 (UK) documents how easy it was for DJT’s campaign minions to use and get away with weaponizing digital technology to win his 2016 election. This was probably a test run and wasn’t fully employed or ramped up for 2020 election cycle because DJT’s campaign mistakenly assumed that voters wouldn’t choose Biden, who represented the 'Democrat establishment,' over Trump.

U.S. mainstream media sporadically reported bits and pieces of how disinformation and misinformation were being used to manipulate elections, but they didn’t connect the dots and our federal departments of intelligence and justice have seemingly stayed 🙈🙉🙊.

Dean, you are correct about NOT bending the knee. Trump, even though he has both chambers of Congress, is the Lamest of Lame Ducks on January 21st. The GOP is split, especially in the House (which has impossibly narrow margins), and Trump himself only won by 1.5% of the popular vote, which is the lowest in a century. So, just keep hammering on how OUT OF TOUCH Trump and his evil minions actually are.

I would also STRONGLY encourage for the festival of outing to begin. Got a closeted Republican hitting the clubs, out his/her ass. A family values pol who is being unfaithful to their vows, out them. Someone who claims to be fiscally responsible with credit hell, same deal. It's the HYPOCRISY that is so toxic. So, it's time for some fearless truth telling.

And f*ck the MSM for their enabling of fascist idiots. My god. What a bunch of pampered whiny babies. THANK YOU Dean for keeping things real!

We need to dig in for at least two years. Hopefully the backlash will flip one or both houses of Congress in the ‘26 elections — if we can make it that far. 🤔😉😊

Great suggestion in paragraph 2, on outing closeted GOPers.

And lets not forget that Musk poured 250 million dollars into buying the election for Trump. Musk should be deported back to South Africa, unless he wants to send himself to Mars, which would be even better because there would be almost no chance that he'd ever make it back to Earth.

All of these corporate sellouts forget the first rule of Trump - loyalty only goes one way. And the second rule of Trump - one payoff is never enough.

This will not end well for these corporate assholes.

Somedays all I can do is laugh. We humans have known since the birth of "civilization" exactly how the sickly powerful drag us back over and over through this eternal cycle of catastrophe. And yet we do nothing of substance to alter it. We are far too dumb to handle our unrivaled intelligence. So I laugh, and so I cry.

Extortion, by definition, is the act of obtaining money, goods, or services from someone through coercion, threats, or intimidation. It is considered a criminal offense in most jurisdictions.

It's everyday Americans who need to stand up to Trump. Big corporations only care about their bottom line. I'm sure Stephanopolous feels betrayed by his employer for having caved to Trump.

I will gently disagree. It's 1877, and the death of Reconstruction (this is the prototype for the Nazis ,btw). It's going to be all the state sponsored violence against anyone who is NOT white and NOT Christian (as these idiots define it). We need to be persistent in speaking up and speaking out, especially those of us who have "white skin privilege." But do NOT give Trump and his minions a millimeter. Be resolute, resourceful, and fearless in truth-telling. These idiots are bullies and cowards. Just keep pushing back.

Perhaps. I am struck just how much 1877 sets the norm for USA political culture. It's all of the White Supremacy, all of the time (and the thieving by oligarchs).

What if we threatened to put Bezos, Zuckerberg, and other billionaires in jail if they don't give equal time to left/liberal opinion, stop crushing unions, etc. Would they pay us too? Worth a try.

When I heard Bezoz back out of the endorsement I cancelled my Prime account and credit card. It may seem like a small thing and some laughed at me for doing it but what about silent protests....cancelling accounts, changing social media platforms (my next move), refusal to support these companies. If enough of us do this, if enough of us CARE, we could impact decisions!

Exactly. We have the power. We vote with every dollar we spend, every video we watch, with every algorithm we tease. Tractor Supply is within walking distance of my property. I have dogs and chickens, I shopped at TS until they pulled their DEI program. I now drive the 10 miles to my local farm supply ( clearly a better choice anyway). They haven’t gone out of business because they lost my $, but I will adhere to my values. We all have to make our values clear through our purchases.

The first step in a takeover is to gain control of the media and silence critics, here a successful first move has been accomplished. Call it fascism, authoritarianism or whatever, this sends a chilling message to all. Trump has always tried to use the courts to intimidate and this paid off much more than money. These folks mean business.

Unfortunately I do own an Amazon account but I tell myself that Bezos ex wife, Mackenzie, benefits from it and continues to donate to many charities.

I do what I can to send a message. Doubt anyone is listening but hell it’s my money, my time.
