Yes, I am afraid, very afraid. I am a lifelong unaffiliated voter that always voted for the best candidate as determined by their education and governmental experience. This last election I voted straight BLUE up and down the ticket. I was threatened a month or so before the election by MAGATs, as were a couple other women, at a public function. I received a “Jewish” learning at a young age about pogroms and the Holocaust. I learned about other mass murders like Mao’s starvation of Chinese people, Argentina disappeared those who resisted, and on. I fear my neighbors, I fear the slow walk into autocratic hell, I fear climatic hell, I fear the future for our kids and grandkids. It’s the little things like not being able to put bumper stickers on cars or signs in yards that is disturbing. Or go to local public meetings where participants bring guns. (Really they do. Some have handguns on their waists.). How do we get past this fear?

I live in New York and have two Democratic senators and I this article motivated me and I just called my senators to encourage them to be brave and stand up against Trump as strongly as they can. They are prominent and will be clear targets for him and his administration to persecute so I can understand them being somewhat fearful but the more people stand up to Trump the harder will be for him to defeat us.
