I just added to the article the new effort by the Ohio GOP to ignore the constitutional amendment by enacting legislation to strip the courts of the power to enforce it. These are alarming times!!!
One of the first things I thought when I heard about the vote in Ohio was - good luck getting it implemented. As long as GOP are in charge, it doesn’t matter what people vote for.
If the white evangelical Christian view of the afterlife, the righteous in Heaven with Jesus, the unrighteous in Hell with Satan. They are in for a rude shock when they discover that the price of admission to heaven was love for the poor, the immigrant, the child (born, life begins at breath), the downtrodden, the stranger and the abused. You know "As you do unto the least of these, you do unto me" Just one of the Jesus parts of Christianity that is unknown to them.
That has nothing to do with restoring the Republic and a #ConstitutionalReaffirmation. Or, more importantly, the complete failure of “We the people“ in reforming our duty.
If Funangelics and MAGA Americans really wanted to reduce Abortion to rare situations and health of the mother they would immediately back and put into law birth to grave health care coverage via a Single Payer, Competitive Provider system of Health Care so like most developed Countries Woman would have guaranteed care for themselves and for the unborn child.
But they won't as they abhore any Socialism and are actually trying to cut the Medicare and Social Security for retirement age adults and the opposed Medicaid expansion every chance they get.
The Oligarchy Americans whom are truely rich, unlike Trump the pretender, have fought programs forever that help the average American.
The thing that boggles my mind is why the poor and middle class Americans support the MAGA and Funangelics to the detriment of their own health and well being.
Why does anyone support the GOP because the statistically significant difference between the parties is NIL! The proletariat does not have an opportunity of class advancement, no matter the party in power. There’s a reason that the number of registered non-voters has exceeded the popular vote total winner of the Presidential cycle since World War II other than 2020.

These are the kind of threats that should be met with arrests! These are speeches in favor of coups! I think the American public has seen enough of privileging of these racist-fascist terrorizers and seditionists. The president can call out the National Guard and should.
While we all try to help our families, take care of one another. I realized I cannot be right about everything. I love ppl and want to leave this world that I did not make ppl weary, that I listened to those who feel differently than me, that I loved the word democracy and love and that it is possible to live w those where we differ.
I hope to God I’m on the right track.

It’s terrible that we have sitting congressmen, senators and a house speaker that all tried to overturn our democracy. That they are still in government is as big a mistake as allowing Trump to come back.
Christian people need to be careful about following these beliefs because these nationalists will go back and justify slavery segregation for everyone in the name of white supremacy. Tim Scott is a hard pill to swallow.
