Why didn’t Pam Bondi as Florida AG investigate Jeffrey Epstein?!
Everything Bondi does is to protect Trump.
Donald Trump is so panicked by what is contained in the Trump-Epstein files that he’s now slamming his own followers demanding its release, calling them “stupid” and “weaklings.” Whine as he may, Trump has lost control of the narrative given a new poll released Wednesday which found nearly 70% of Americans believe the Trump regime has engaged in a cover up of the Epstein files--including 59% of Trump supporters. At the very least it appears that Trump knew Jeffrey Epstein was involved in sex ring where children were raped yet did nothing to stop that evil. But Trump’s actions could be worse than that.
However, lost in the discussion is that Trump’s current Attorney General Pam Bondi was Florida’s Attorney General from 2011 to 2019 in the very state that was ground zero for Epstein raping and trafficking children. Why didn’t she investigate and prosecute Epstein for these heinous crimes committed in Florida?!
Taking a quick step back, Epstein received in 2008 the “deal of a lifetime” from local Florida prosecutors and George W. Bush’s Department of Justice. At the time, Bush’s DOJ had identified 36 underage girls who were victims of Epstein. But they offered the well-connected Epstein a deal to plead guilty to just two prostitution charges in state court. He was then sentenced to 18 months in jail--which he served in a private wing of the Palm Beach County jail where he was allowed daily work release. In addition, Bush’s DOJ agreed not to prosecute him for federal crimes. Worse, Epstein’s victims were not even told of the deal in advance so they could object.
After Epstein’s release from jail in 2009, Epstein returned to his lavish lifestyle and was able to “continue his abuse of minors”—a point made in a 2020 report by Trump’s own DOJ after Epstein died in the custody of the Trump administration. So again, why didn’t Bondi investigate Epstein for his crimes while she was AG from 2011 to 2019?!
Making this even more suspicious is that Bondi did pursue numerous other cases as Florida’s AG targeting sexual predators who targeted children. In fact, one of Bondi’s top goals as Florida AG was to make Florida a “Zero tolerance” state for human trafficking—especially those involving children and women “for the purpose of sexual exploitation.” To that end, in 2013, her offices were involved in the arrest of 15 child sex predators as part of an investigation known as Operation e-Guardian. At the time, Bondi stated, “Sadly, sexual predators will use any means available to them, including the Internet, to lure children in order to exploit them. This operation was a great multi-agency collaboration that has brought down 15 child predators.”
Yet when a massive child sex ring was taking place in Florida, we saw nothing from her in regards to pursuing Epstein or his co-conspirator Ghislaine Maxwell. Even after the Miami Herald released a bombshell report in November 2018 that “identified about 80 women who say they were molested or otherwise sexually abused by Epstein” involving a “cult-like net of underage girls” recruited in various parts of Florida--we saw nothing from Bondi. If a newspaper like the Miami Herald could find that out, certainly Bondi as AG had even more resources to investigate.
It was not as if the Epstein case had disappeared. During Bondi’s time as Florida AG, there was news making civil suits filed against Epstein by more than 200 victims. Yet Bondi did nothing.
It’s hard to believe there were not children being victimized in Florida when Bondi was the Attorney General given prior reports which noted in the area of 200 Epstein victims. But the memo Bondi released last Monday stated the DOJ’s review of the files “confirmed that Epstein harmed over one thousand victims.” That was not close to the number of victims known in 2008 when Epstein went to jail. It’s clear—as the 2020 DOJ memo noted—Epstein continued to sexually abuse and rape children after he was released from jail in 2009.
But even if there were no new victims, Bondi had the power as Florida AG to right the wrongs of the 2008 sweetheart deal by investigating and prosecuting Epstein for the hundreds of other children he had abused. Keep in mind the Miami Herald identified 80 people who had been Epstein victims and detailed how “the girls — mostly 13 to 16 — were lured to [Epstein’s] pink waterfront mansion” after being recruited at “shopping malls, house parties” and other locations.
In fact, Trump’s DOJ in 2019 charged Epstein for raping children based on incidents from decades before. As the then Trump appointed US attorney for New York stated in July 2019, “The indictment unsealed today alleges that, between 2002 through 2005, Epstein sexually exploited and abused dozens of underage girls by enticing them to engage in sex acts with him in exchange for money.”
Bondi should have investigated and charged Epstein for his actions in Florida invoking children that were not known at the time of his 2008 plea deal. That would have avoided any issues concerning double jeopardy given the prosecution was for crimes he committed against victims unknown at the time and/or for crimes that post-dated the deal.
Why did Bondi fail to protect the children of Florida? And why is she refusing to release the files after in March promising on Fox News to be “transparent”?
Did she not investigate Epstein to protect Trump? When Epstein was prosecuted in 2008, the media was filled with stories of how Epstein was close with Trump and other powerful men. In a 2002 interview with New York magazine, Trump boasted about Epstein, “I’ve known Jeff for fifteen years. Terrific guy. He’s a lot of fun to be with.” Trump added, “it is even said that he likes beautiful women as much as I do, and many of them are on the younger side.” Bondi had to know all of that given the visibility of Trump.
This is the same Bondi who in 2013 as Florida AG was considering investigating Trump University after her offices had received more than 20 complaints from Florida residents that they had been defrauded. However, we learned that just four days after Bondi’s office announced they were considering looking into Trump University, Trump’s charitable foundation wrote the $25,000 check to the Bondi-backing PAC. Bondi then decided to not investigate Trump.
Months later in March 2014, Trump held a $3,000-per-person fundraiser for Bondi at Mar-a-Lago netting a huge take for her campaign. And at around the same time, Trump and his daughter Ivanka donated another $125,000 to the Republican Party of Florida ― of which the bulk was funneled to Bondi’s campaign.
There is a reason Bondi is Trump’s AG. She has always protected him. She did so as Florida AG. She then joined Trump’s impeachment defense team in 2020. As Trump’s AG, she has fired career federal prosecutors who worked with Jack Smith to investigate Trump for his Jan. 6 coup and Espionage crimes. And now she refuses to release the Epstein files which no doubt will be very bad for Trump.
Trump always wanted his own “Roy Cohn”- a lawyer who doggedly fought for his clients but was ultimately disbarred for "dishonesty, fraud, deceit and misrepresentation." In Bondi, Trump has found that. But don’t be surprised if Bondi suffers the same fate as Cohn. It never ends well for Trump’s lawyers, just ask Rudy Guiliani, Kenneth Chesebro and John Eastman—all who have been disbarred.

Because she’s obviously involved in the cover up.
I'm glad you brought this to light, Dean. Pam Blondi is the new fixer. She will be disbarred just like Michael Cohen was. Why anyone would have blind loyalty to anyone, let alone trump is beyond me. We need to do a better job of instilling morals and values in today's America. Money has become the be all end all. We need honest people with some integrity who know and CARE about right and wrong. Pam Blondi is a lawyer minus ethics and integrity. She must have been educated in FL where they are too busy banning books and DEI to worry about integrity.
