The press corps in the Oval Office or on AF1 or on the WH lawn are under a lot of pressure but, now that they know what Trump does in these situations, they can be more forceful and immediate. I suggest they decide as a group to back each other up, create a group response, and inform their bosses (but not capitulate when challenged by them). Turn off cameras and microphones, walk away, say, “Wrong” or “Shame”. There are risks and retributions to contend with, certainly, but a stand needs to be taken. Lose your job? Tell me there are no other jobs for skilled, competent, and principled reporters.
