Trump is engaged in a cover up of the Epstein files for this simple reason: Trump is guilty!
There is no denying Trump's guilt.
There is no mystery surrounding why Donald Trump has been freaking out over the potential release of the Jeffrey Epstein files. Common sense tells us Trump knew he was mentioned in the files and he didn’t want that information to be made public. And on Wednesday, the Wall Street Journal confirmed that very fact with reporting that in May, Trump had been briefed by his Attorney General Pam Bondi that “Trump’s name appeared multiple times” in the files.
The undeniable truth is this: Trump is guilty. Period.
The only question is guilty of what? Will the files show that—as I believe—Trump knew that his close friend Epstein was running a child sex ring and he took zero steps to stop that evil? Will there be evidence Trump procured from Epstein children for other men in politics and power to have sex with? Or could it be even worse—implicating Trump in the rape of children?
No one knows because there has been a cover up of the file by Trump. In fact, not only is Trump engaged in a cover up of the Epstein files—we are now seeing a cover up of the cover up!
The WSJ reporting has now made that fact undeniable. As a reminder, just last week, Trump point blank denied that Bondi told him his name was in the Epstein files:
REPORTER: “Did the attorney general tell you that your name appeared in the Epstein files?”
TRUMP: “No no. She's given us just a very quick briefing.”
Trump was lying. He was told his name was in the files. This also explains why Bondi flip flopped on releasing the Epstein files. In March, Bondi was on Fox News telling Sean Hannity she had just received “thousands” of new Epstein related documents. She slammed Biden for a lack of transparency while vowing to release everything in the files except the names of the child victims—which at the time she said was in the area of more than 250.
But then Trump was briefed in May that he was in the files. That explains why just two months later the DOJ declared by way of a July 7 memo that they would be releasing zero documents. Bondi went from promising access to thousands of documents to a one and half page memo that simply read, “It is the determination of the Department of Justice and the Federal Bureau of Investigation that no further disclosure would be appropriate or warranted.”
That was the beginning of the cover up. And the reason was Trump learned in May he was all over the Epstein files. So Trump—as common sense tells us—told Bondi to stonewall the public.
Knowing Trump was briefed about his name in the file also explains why the day after that DOJ memo was released, Trump was outraged when a reporter asked Bondi a question at a cabinet meeting about Epstein. Trump was so panicked he actually interjected to answer for Bondi, lashing out at the reporter in a display of defensives that set off alarm bells that something was up. “Are you still talking about Jeffrey Epstein?!...We have Texas, we have this, all of the things. Are people still talking about this guy, this creep? “That is unbelievable!” declared an angry Trump.
Trump’s panic built the next week when he slammed his own supporters still clamoring to see the files as being “stupid,” “foolish” and “weaklings.” Trump was so desperate to cover up what is in the Epstein files that he even turned on his own base in ways we’ve never seen.
The cover up of the cover up has continued over the past few days. We learned earlier this week that Trump is sending his personal lawyer Todd Blanche—who now serves as the second in command of DOJ—to meet in prison with Epstein’s one time girlfriend and co-conspirator, Ghislaine Maxwell. She was convicted of federal crimes and sentenced to 20 years in connection with co-running a child sex ring from from 1994 through 2004 so that Epstein could rape and molest children—as well as peddle them out to powerful men.
If Maxwell says Trump never had sex with children and never know about it, in return she will get a pardon from Trump. And if you think Trump has any shame in making such a deal, keep in mind this is the same Trump who pardoned the Jan. 6 terrorists who brutally beat up police officers.
The other part of the cover up is simply unheard of: Trump had Congress shutdown this week as part of the cover up. What led to this was that a handful of House Republicans pledged to vote with Democrats to require the release of the Epstein files. But Trump didn’t want that. Since Trump’s ally GOP Speaker Johnson could not prevent the vote, he shut down Congress to protect Trump from the files being released. And that’s not speculation, headlines in publications like Politico state that was 100% the reason: “Epstein crisis forces Republicans to shut down House early.”
Then there was Trump’s meltdown on Tuesday in the Oval Office where he repeated over and over attacks on President Obama as having committed “treason”—plus wildly ranting that Hillary Clinton, Joe Biden, Adam Schiff and more have also committed crimes. Trump was so desperate he literally told reporters twice to stop talking Epstein and instead cover Obama, telling the press, “You want to take a look at that and stop talking about nonsense, because this is big stuff.”
There is a term prosecutors use to describe a person suspected of wrongdoing who is acting the way Trump is. That is called “consciousness of guilt.” Former federal prosecutor Glenn Kirschner made that very point in our Substack Live discussion on Wednesday shortly after the WSJ story broke. (You can watch that interview here.) As Glenn put it, Trump is “scared shitless” over what is in the Epstein file. (See clip below)
Trump has been caught lying many times in connection with Epstein such as denying he was ever on Epstein’s plane known as the “Lolita Express.” (He was on it at least seven times.) And despite Trump being very close to Epstein, Trump denies knowing anything about the child sex ring. Well that lie was destroyed during the Maxwell trial when one victim said that when she was just 14 years old when Epstein took her to Mar-A-Lago to meet Trump.
We also learned from the testimony of another victim, Virginia Roberts Giuffre, that in 2000, Maxwell was at Mar-A-Lago when she recruited Giuffre—who was then a 16 year old girl working for Trump-- to have sex with Epstein and other political figures. Giuffre testified under oath, “Donald Trump was also a good friend of Jeffrey’s. He didn’t partake in any sex with any of us but he flirted with me.” She added, “He’d laugh and tell Jeffrey, you’ve got the life.’”
It was just two years later that Trump in 2002 praised Epstein to New York Magazine, “I’ve known Jeff for fifteen years. Terrific guy. He’s a lot of fun to be with.” Trump then added, “it is even said that he likes beautiful women as much as I do, and many of them are on the younger side.”
We don’t know exactly what is in the Epstein file that is freaking Trump out. But what we can say with absolute confidence is that Trump is guilty. The only question is how vile and evil are the actions Trump took in connection with Epstein?!

Lord of the Lies Trump, AG Bondi race to silence Maxwell before Congressional investigators can subpoena her sworn testimony:

MAGA GOP is the party that protects rich, creepy, abusive, elite men at the expense of everyone else. The MAGA GOP cover-up of sexual predators who victimized children should be the final straw for all but the most deluded Trump cultists.
Think of all the circumstantial evidence now in the public domain
Lewd pictures with his teen daughter
Lewd comments about his teen daughter on public radio show
Lewd comments about the age of girls as 12 is too young on a public radio show
Lewd letters to Epstein on his birthday
Accusations he threw a private party for himself and Epstein
Ownership of an international model agency recruiting russian girls
Ownership of the Miss Teen pageant and lewd comments about viewing the girls undressed
Testimony from several girls who claim Trump raped them
Accusations from over 25 women trump he sexually molested them in some way all the way up to rape
Conviction in the E Jean Carroll trial
This is just off the top of my head. There is the Wyden money trail. The anger by trump and the extreme reaction of charging Obama with treason. Any lawyer would tell you this is far beyond whether any of this passes the smell test. It definitely stinks. Stinks real bad. For trump.
