In 2021, Kevin McCarthy boasted to crowd that when GOP take the House he will be elected Speaker and then jokes about hitting Nancy Pelosi with gavel. The crowd loved it: "I want you to watch Nancy Pelosi hand me that gavel. It will be hard not to hit her with it.” Here’s hoping that McCarthy never gets his despicable hands on that gavel!

What is really horrifying is this: David DePape, a deranged borderline homeless man, living in a garage in Richmond, CA somehow managed to travel to the Pelosi residence in the dark of night last October. He was carrying a supply of zip ties and a hammer, not a gavel, which he used to brutally assault Paul Pelosi. Mr. Pelosi suffered a serious skull fracture. I do not understand how DePape managed to carry out this heinous act unless he had an accomplice.
