Millions of Americans from all 50 states just "Punched" Trump in the Face!
In my past articles celebrating people who “punched Trump in the face,” the focus has always been on a few who powerfully stood up to Donald Trump that week. But this week I’m not praising a handful of people—but literally millions who “punched” Trump in the face in all 50 states.
That is not an exaggeration. In Boston, alone more than one million people showed up as Boston’s ABC news affiliate reported. And other headlines both in US and worldwide back that up as huge crowds marched, danced, chanted, and carried signs as they punched Trump in the face!
In the end, we saw inspiring protests from Maine to Hawaii—from big cities like Chicago to the small towns like Dickinson, North Dakota.
People wanted to make it clear that we will not allow Trump to succeed at ending our democratic Republic and elevating himself to King! And they did this in numbers too big to deny!
Bluntly, though, Saturday did not start with this type of promise as news of the terrorist attack on Democratic officials in Minnesota broke. Two Democrats, state Rep. Melissa Hortman, and her husband, Mark were killed by a right-wing gunman. Democratic state legislator, John Hoffman, and his wife Yvette were also shot but have survived.
The killer, Vance Boelter, had voted for Trump, was a right wing Christian who believed “abortion was murder” and his list of targets were all Democrats and pro-abortion activists. This appears to be yet another MAGA terrorist attack on US soil.
After that news broke, there were concerns that many may stay home from the No Kings protests—which in fact may have been one goal of the killer. But that did not happen.
Even in Minnesota, people filled the streets. Below is a photo from the No Kings protest in St. Paul.
Footage soon began to fill our screens on TV and social media of massive protests like the massive rally in Boston below:
The City of Brotherly Love saw the streets of Philly packed standing up to Trump!
Despite the rains, the streets of New York City were filled as well:
But it was not just Blue states and cities. These protests spanned the nation with boisterous crowds in deep Red states like Oklahoma--where “thousands” as the local media reported gathered in Oklahoma City.
In Tennessee, local media reported “thousands” rallied at Bicentennial Mall in Nashville. But it was not just Nashville---protests occurred across Tennessee including in Murfreesboro, Gallatin, Clarksville and more.
In Georgia, Atlanta’s 5,000-capacity “No Kings” rally outside the state Capitol quickly reached its limit. Soon thousands more of anti-Trump demonstrators gathered outside barriers to hear speakers.
Other red states saw the same with thousands gathering in Idaho, Utah, South Carolina. Crowds came out in Wyoming–with 13 protests including very rural areas like Alpine.
The sunshine state of Florida saw a whopping 70 anti-Trump rallies including more than 5,000 in the state capitol. Even in West Virginia–a state Trump won in 2024 with Saddam Hussein type of numbers of 70% of the vote- saw more than a dozen protests. People came out from Charlestown to Clarksburg and Morgantown.
Still in the midst of this joy there was some more MAGA darkness. A white, 21-year-old man drove his car into protesters in Virginia. The police noted that Joseph R. Checklick, Jr., "intentionally accelerated his vehicle into the dispersing crowd, striking at least one person with his vehicle." Thankfully, there were no serious injuries but this appears to be the second MAGA terrorist attack in the same day. As of now the 21-year-old is being held without bail as authorities investigate the attack.
Saturday ended with Trump’s military parade—which did not go as he had hoped. The U.S. Army troops did not goose-step or perform in ways that would make Trump look like America’s “Fuhrer.” Instead, they marched professionally. Clearly, the troops were not there to honor Trump but to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the U.S. Army with a thoughtful, low key event.
The Economic Times’ headline summed it up well, “Trump’s $45 million birthday parade turns into a drowsy disaster.” In fact, as the outlet reported, the 79 year-old Trump not only looked bored, he “appeared to doze” off during the parade. Trump’s military parade went from his dream of looking like America’s all-powerful dictator to something that made him look impotent.
We should all congratulate the U.S. Army on its 250th birthday. Created in July 1775, the Army fought and won our freedom from King George—-and has served our nation ever since. They, however, deserve a real President on this momentous occasion---not one who attempted a coup and incited the Jan. 6 terrorist attack to end the democracy so many in the U.S. Army fought and died to defend!
As I wrote last week, “we are at war” —as Trump has launched a multi-front assault on our freedoms and our Constitution. Yet despite these dark times in America, we saw millions on Saturday punch Trump in the face “from the mountains to the prairies, To the oceans white with foam.” After seeing that, I’ve never felt more confident that we are going to win this war!

POWER TO THE PEOPLE!
6/14/25 Los Angeles was completely peaceful and then law enforcement began to push unannounced against the crowds. They provoked the crowds. Most left the area. All the law enforcement needed to do was ask them to go somewhere else and they would go. I hope no one was hurt by those decisions to forcibly confront the peaceful crowds.
