Jim Acosta: Corporate media is paralyzed with fear to report on Trump’s cognitive decline

We need independent media more than ever!

Award winning journalist Jim Acosta didn’t hold back when he was a CNN anchor. But he was the exception to the rule for those in corporate media—which has only gotten worse in Trump’s second term.

Acosta—who observed Trump up close for years as a White House correspondent—stated point blank about Trump’s cognitive and physical decline, “We’re listening to right now are the rantings of somebody who is just not all there.” He added, “Donald Trump to me looks tired. He looks diminished. He looks like he can’t put sentences together anymore.”

Of course, that is exactly what we see as well but where are the in-depth reports by corporate media on Trump’s cognitive decline? They sure did that when Joe Biden was President—despite what Jake Tapper wants you to believe.

And we just learned that Trump will be having an “annual” check up on Friday—just six months after his last “annual” check up. Will corporate media pressure the Trump regime for answers on Trump’s health issues—beyond asking superficial questions that allow them to effectively ignore the issue? Unlikely.

Well Acosta told us bluntly why: “It’s because the media, the corporate media in this country are paralyzed with fear.” He continued, “they’re worried that they’re going to get sued again and hauled into court.” Acosta even noted corporate executives are fearful that they will “get tossed by the wayside because some corporate giant is going to come in and take over a network and so on.”

In other words, Trump has succeeded at his goal of intimidating the corporate media to self-censor for the good of their bottom line. And it’s likely only going to get worse with CBS recently announcing “anti-woke” activist Bari Weiss will be the new editor in chief of CBS News.

Acosta slammed the hiring and Weiss’s commitment to ending “wokeness,” noting “This whole ‘anti-woke’ thing is such horseshit.” He powerfully added, “The idea of ending the being tolerant in this country is a whole lot of hooey. It’s playing to some real base instincts in this country that to me are counterproductive and not who we are as a nation.”

Again, Acosta never holds back!

Jim and I also discussed everything from Trump’s baseless prosecution of James Comey to sending troops into the American streets –which of course are all connected as “things wannabe dictators do.” Hope you check it out as well as Jim’s Substack, “The Jim Acosta Show.”
