Frank Figliuzzi on new Epstein cover up bombshell, Trump's Iran lies and more

A recording from Dean Obeidallah's live video

Donald Trump’s “Operation Epic Epstein Distraction”—known as his illegal war on Iran—is beginning to slide from the headlines just as new developments are emerging in the Epstein case. In fact, on Tuesday night, GOP Rep. James Comer appeared on Fox News where he told the audience that in 2019, Trump’s DOJ asked officials in New Mexico to stop investigating potential crimes at Epstein’s mansion in that state.

Frank explained the only valid reasons that when he was an FBI agent why they would ask state officials to stop investigating potential crimes. And as Frank noted, none of those legitimate reasons are relevant here.

He also shared that despite it being seven years since Epstein is dead, there is the potential that credible evidence of crimes can be located in New Mexico by authorities who are conducting searches on Epstein’s property as we speak.

Frank and I also discussed the role that it appears Russia is playing in helping Iran in the war—yet Trump just waived sanctions on Russian oil which helps Putin fund the war in Ukraine! Top Senate Democrats criticized the Trump administration for loosening these restrictions on Russia, accusing Trump of giving Putin a “huge financial boost. “Now is not the time to clear the way for sales for Russian oil majors and Russian-owned and shadow fleet vessels,” they said in a statement on Friday. But that is what Trump did!

Finally, Frank broke down concerns that there could be terrorism on US soil inspired by the war. Hope you check out our conversation!
