The ass@@@e Republicans don’t give a sheet about our democracy. The fact that they lay down like lambs at the slaughter is the saddest and most dangerous thing since the Civil War.

Well, this is scary af. He’s right, of course.

This is extremely scary, but I believe the Dr. unless someone stops him and his vile insane cabinet of quacks and conspiracy theorists and Christian nationalists who want a war will likely just encourage him.

Foxibot's avatar

The only thing we can hope for is that he gets so physically sick he can no longer function. That’s our one hope. Because I think he has congestive heart failure and maybe kidney and other issues. Dementia patients need sleep. They ought to just sedate him so he can’t stay awake at night and then give him sedatives to keep him calm. It would be easy enough to do. I hope some brave Dr beyond the scenes and maybe a brave military general will get together and help each other to make sure he stays sedated so they can control him and he won’t do anything crazy. He definitely is getting more violent and angry and vengeful.

One would hope his children and spouse would step in and take care of him, you know, like normal loving family tends to want for their family member.

Vanessa Sheridan's avatar

You can forget about that. His family is anything but normal and loving.

Renee Goodman's avatar

Lisa, all the family cares about is MONEY! They are with him and have committed illegalities along with thousands of his!

Foxibot's avatar

They don’t care for him like a normal loving family. They just use him and his position to

Grift off of it. Melania won’t even hold his hand when he’s clearly trying to hold it to get his bearings and figure out where he is.

Tom's avatar

But one way or another, they're as sick as he is..

Anna Kingry's avatar

Ha! They're in for all the money they can rake in during the Trump family burglary.

Sher''s avatar

That's not going to happen.

Sher''s avatar

I agree 💯 %...

Regardless of his deterioration, It has always been the (R)egressives in Congress who have fueled his destructiveness. Had he been on the other side of the isle, Dems would have long ago had him removed. Just like with guns, it is (R)egressives who have fueled the 40K shooting deaths each year.. refusing to do anything about it. Even Thom Hartmann has written about the death cult these subhumans are.

If the Iran war continues without resolution, I expect Trump to lose his temper and try to launch a nuclear strike on them. We can only hope that he's prevented, but with his junk drawer of a Cabinet I wouldn't bet on it.

I understand the need to define the rational for Mr. Trump’s behavior; however the premise that he will kill more than Hitler needs to be rephrased. He is actively in the process of killing more people than Hitler. The number of people killed or who will be killed by his USAID destruction is already calculated to outnumber the number Hitler killed in the Holocaust. Yet the estimate did not include some of the deaths from destruction of health care delivery and nutrition. Now his wars of choice are adding to more disruption that will effect much including global nutrition. How many will die due to his pushing the world into climate catastrophe is hard to quantify and may exceed the other causes. But his most brutal murder may be to the American Experiment. He is the Orwellian nightmare incarnate bringing us into a Hobbesian world.

Sher''s avatar

Wow! You're right!

I agree. I am so angry with the so called Republicans. But then, Trump has followers just like he is . . .birds of a feather.

LiseAnn 🇨🇦's avatar

Only one thing would stop the crazy SOB for good. A real Patriot.

Diane Lee's avatar

The Dr. is right. This is all so upsetting to be living through. Not one Republican is doing a single thing to stop him. They're ALL cowards 🤬

Great interview, thank you Dean 🙏💙🕊️

Unless Republicans suddenly wake up and do something, we are screwed. In other words, we are screwed.

Anna Kingry's avatar

The Repubs wuvvvv him and think he is God on earth.

Arlene Row's avatar

His description of trump is spot on.

Glynda Joyce's avatar

I believe the doctor is right. Can he explain to the citizens of our country why we wait to be murdered, why we don’t stop the cruel, inhuman treatment happening right now, why our elected politicians, our trusted institutions turned on us. Us means the overwhelming millions of us who work and pay the tax that is continually stolen and taken from the multitudes who need help, services, transportation, climate and environmental protection and on and on. When will we, America’s ordinary citizens, determine a way and means to clean house. Perhaps it will be when we see the result of the mid term election. Why do we tolerate the harm being done to the world.

Anna Kingry's avatar

Many would straighten right up if Trump were taken out of power.

I don't have knowledge of the procedure for deployment of a nuclear weapon, or the safeguards in place for preventing a mad president from wantonly deploying one. I'm hopeful that he would need cooperation from at least one other human, and perhaps they would possess the sanity to say no. Sadly, the orange megalomaniac could, however, continue to cause plenty of harm even without nuclear weapon use.

I’m afraid as long as certain persons continue to make a ton of money off Donnie, he will be kept where he is until he dies. Go cheeseburgers.

Pat's avatar

Will he call on his J6 paramilitary that he is trying to pay with "lawsuit settlement"? So worried about midterms, peaceful protesters, his "enemies"...

Ron Bierman's avatar

Millions of deaths caused by Trump is already a certainty without atomic weapons. Boston University researchers, Impact Counter and others have estimated that the defunding of USAID alone has already caused the death of 760,000 to more than 1,000,000 people. Unbelievably, not only doesn't Trump care, neither do Republicans in Congress.

Anna Kingry's avatar

And Democrats are using all speed to do what???

Ron Bierman's avatar

Through every fault of their own, there’s nothing they can do, and they are overly optimistic about the midterms, not seeming to realize Trump, who already fomented one insurrection, will stop at nothing to prevent or overturn a loss.

Nor am I about to defend the Dem's abysmal record while in control. We’ve been an oligarchy supported by both parties for half a century. But there are signs of candidates other than useful idiots in the states. But the Democratic Central Committee has to get out of the way and stop mouthing content-free glittering generalities like, “We’re working for the American people” without explaining what they are actually going to do.

Dr. Gartner is correct ‼️ We were warned YEARS AGO as well by Dr. Bandy Lee , a forensic psychiatrist and editor of“The Dangerous Case of Donald Trump.” BUT NO ONE LISTENED ‼️🤬‼️🤬‼️
